I think their characters don't really fit each other. Angle had a goofy streak even as the wrestling machine. Perfect's character took everything far too seriously for that to work Hennig was fresh off showing his comedy chops in WCW with the West Texas Rednecks, if he needed to do that in the WWF, he could have. I think Curt Hennig could do that, I am not sure it made sense for Mr Perfect

Hennig was fresh off showing his comedy chops in WCW with the West Texas Rednecks, if he needed to do that in the WWF, he could have. I think Curt Hennig could do that, I am not sure it made sense for Mr Perfect Mr Perfect wasn't the Undertaker, a character with heavy lore and such, he was just Curt Hennig being a good worker with a name they could trademark. Also the Undertaker himself dropped that character to do something else around that time and that gimmick made money for the company. Hennig wasn't exactly the perfect athlete by that point anyway, he was a guy who was ageing and beat to hell, doing comedy could have given him something more than nostalgia to go on.

I like Mr. Perfect but 2002 he was at the end of the road as a in ring guy. Plus his head wasn't right as we found out. I don't see how Angle and Perfect would worked or fits. Even though a team name like The Perfect Angle does sound good.
