Surprising that Hiromu who's been pushing for this to happen is working the opener.

Onryo's gimmick is that he is the ghost of a wrestler who died after winning a cursed championship.

After getting so used to NJPW with English commentary it has been hard to watch without it.
And I don't remember so many shows I"ve wanted to watch being PPVs in the past!
Do these shows ever go free to watch on NJPW World?

Do these shows ever go free to watch on NJPW World? The NJPW/NOAH show is on both NJPW world and WrestleUniverse. The Junior All Star Festival will be free on there not long after it airs. The Mutoh retirement show is only on WrestleUniverse.

Minoru Tanaka the current Gaora TV Champ in AJPW. And he’s away from Voodoo Murders. Thank the maker.

Amakusa would be great in LIJ, he should join them. He would but I’m sure he’d probably see them as too similar to Kongo.

I think what hurt the Junior All Star Festival is that the one match everyone wanted to see on it had already happened: Hiromu vs. Amakusa.

I liked that more than expected going in. It was a nice variety of talent, styles and tones. There is probably a result or two I think could be changed without hurting anyone (Shun pinning YO-HEY instead of Ishimori), but otherwise it was super fun. Having the surprise Magnum Tokyo stand-in versus CIMA in front of Milano and Yoshino was so perfect.
The American version of the ASJF would be a lot easier to pull off, but the downside is a lot of Western juniors are indie guys that have faced off plenty of times. That would likely include anyone they would get from AEW/ROH/Impact, and I don't think anyone from WWE is coming, so the overall feel will be off compared to what this event delivered. Hopefully they could bring in some Japanese and lucha talent there too.

Get Bailey in the BOSJ and Alexander in the G1 and man…so many great fresh matches out of it. Alexander wants to do it too. Seems like a pretty simple thing as long as Alexander isn’t champion come G1.
