Has there been a rationale given for why they don't have jade wrestle that much (or even long matches)? Tony Khan isn't very good at booking women.

They redeemed themselves a bit with the Taya debut, but damn if I didn't laugh my ass off when the 'Canadian challenger' ended up being another jobber. Wtf man, at this stage its beyond parody.

Probably because she’s not ready. Like she works well in shorter bursts (although even then her matches can be hit or miss). You put her in there longer and she’ll likely be exposed. Then why make her a champion if she's not ready? They've given her everything the past two years and she's still greener than spinach.
This is nothing more than an vanity plate to keep her happy just like Booker T.
lol, you think SHE asked to have a meaningless belt thrown at her "to keep her happy" It's much more likely that TK knew he had a one-in-a-million talent in her, and he propped her up before she was ready to be placed in that position. And since then, he's spun his wheels continuously because his original plan went down with an injury.

You keep pushing this idea that the TBS title is just to keep Jade happy and placate her ego. Is there a single shred of evidence anywhere to state that Jade Cargill (the person, not the on-screen wrestler) has this massive ego? The only reports I've seen say the opposite and point to her putting the hours in with Bryan Danielson to get better.

There was plenty of better talented and more charismatic women on the roster on her they could have made TBS Champion. Rosa, Shida, Riho to name a few. Instead they went for a person who has shown zero development since she first appeared, with a god awful catchphrase.

The owner of the company chose her. What you hating on the performer for when the booking is your issue?

TK has an issue with not wanting to change plans. Occasionally he will.
But most of the time he would rather drag things out (and risk the story getting cold) so he can do the thing he wanted to do all along, rather than pivot.

The reign has been too inconsequential to be the worst. However, letting a hot talent ice is one of the worst things a booker can do.
Jade is not Goldberg but since they're compared; imagine if after winning the US title he kept beating up the likes of Ice Train, Lash LeRoux and Jim Dugggan for over a year and got a stable of flunkies to detract from his aura. Mainly on Saturday Night or Thunder and when he's on Nitro it's a quick 30 second backstage promo.
If Jade's all about money and being the attraction, why hasn't she gone after the Women's title? If you don't want to do a long match with her, don't! Not everyone has to work a broadway. Could've done a 5-7 minute hard-hitting match to main event a special dynamite with Rosa/Toni. If she lost it would have been a great moment and gives her some adversity to improve, and if she won it's a shock and you see if it pops any interest. Could always have her lose it back or had Jamie beat her since she was getting over too. Instead she's had weird pivots that go nowhere like the Bow Wow stuff and the Baddies dissolving(?) and she added Stokeley but then he left to do The Firm. What's going on here?

Idk what it is, but I think ever since Jade beat Athena, he's been trying to justify his hatred of her, and also burying Athena too despite how great she's looked since that loss in ROH with the character development Idk if he's even still watching AEW since he said he was boycotting the show after the Andrade/Sammy incident, but this isn't the first time a narrative's been pushed with no evidence, just it's a fact because he says it is.

I’m probably the harshest Jade Cargill critic on this board and even I think the “vanity plate” thing is a shit take. I don’t enjoy her work but everything I’ve heard about her indicates that she’s trying to get better and that she’s a wonderful presence backstage. As a person I want nothing but the best for Jade and I recognize that most of what I dislike about her comes down to Tony Khan’s failure to give her what she needs. I honestly will say her post match segment with Rene was actually pretty good. Her bullying Rene into the corner and then just mockingly kissing her forehead was the first time showed some personality beyond being arrogant and took on a tone of “I can do whatever I want, and nobody can stop me.” It was a rare moment where it felt like there was a genuine reason to boo her. I want some more character out of her, more stuff like that and she might get on the right track. Doesn’t save this reign, but a step in the right direction.

Having her constantly say that there’s “no one left to beat” when everyone knows she hasn’t beaten MOST of the top women in the company, is also just stupid.

She's a cocky full of herself heel which only inflates with a winning streak Crimson was calling himself like the best wrestler ever when he had his streak too. I just don't think that's anything new and plays into what she's doing tbh

The dichotomy of Jade is that AEW clearly wants her to be one of their top women’s stars.
But aside from the winning streak, nothing else in how she is booked really makes her feel like one of the top women
It’s very weird?

But aside from the winning streak, nothing else in how she is booked really makes her feel like one of the top women It’s very weird? It's a combination of commitment and caution. They've committed to Jade, and it's more or less worked (as far as crowd reactions at minimum) largely because they've stayed committed. It's cautious because they're keeping to what works and trying to damage everything else as little as possible. They can feed her enhancement talent to minimize how often they feed her anyone who is needed for the workrate matches, and they're keeping her matches short to make sure the TV quality is compromised as little as possible (because bad long matches will damage her and her opponents far, far more than the short matches will). ...and the number of non-enhancement wrestlers to feed her has been incredibly small for the last several months. She's beaten Diamante, Nyla, and Shafir, and just about everyone else on deck (except Emi, whom I suspect they don't want to lose to Jade) is tied up in the Outcasts angle.

Given your very loud insistence to the same point, even a month after the crowning, that the trios title were just an ego trip for Kenny and The Bucks, I kind of think you just don't understand that titles aren't bespoke trophies for the very first person to hold them. It was completely unfounded then and it's an even worse look now because you're going in harder on a lot of made up shit about how they 'need to keep her happy' that have. Implications.

Worst ever? Not even in the top 100
A Painfully long reign to the point where it’s lost a lot of its heat and might be hurting the division as a while. Top 20 I’m sure.

So after tonight it's just canonical that the TBS title isn't even a real belt, right?
