Better heel Daniel Bryan title era

In a mood to revisit both runs just curious what y'all think.

PS:Watching the match where Big Show is a 500 lbs reckless bastard and knocks over 95 lbs AJ Lee and idk if AJ's pants could sit any lower and amazing they stayed on with how low they rode.

Once it got going the 2019 run was much better but the first two months of just, "YOU ALL EAT MEAT!" and putting on surprisingly awful matches with AJ Styles were absolutely unbearable.

3 reasons I voted for 2019

1. The crowd actually wanted to cheer for Bryan in 2012. Him being a heel felt very much forced on him by Vince, who couldn't understand WHY the crowd would want to cheer for Bryan, and tried to make them stop.
2. The Eco-Champion belt was absolutely gorgeous.
3. The 2019 run gave us an all time great promo moment, when Bryan got the crowd to spontaneously start chanting for an imaginary cow.

Ehhhh. Bryan wasn’t really all that over in 2012 until he turned heel and became a delusional goof. That heel run changed everything for him.

If he stayed the course as a nothing good guy good wrestler face he would’ve been stuck in the midcard with Ted Dibiase and Sin Cara for life

Plural? The Rumble match was bad but the TLC match was incredible and the Smackdown match was great. That was basically the only misstep in his entire reign.

Bryan's pure douchery to Kofi was some of the best heel work that's ever been done in WWE ever.


Bryan becoming exactly what he hated and projecting all of the same things on Kofi that the Authority did to him was brilliant.

100%, bolstered by the fact Bryan was earning his stripes as a microphone GOAT with that run too. Insane to think interviews were once a worry for him given how he turned out.
