Why doesn’t Kenny do more interview segments?

I know his ring work is his calling card, but I always felt he was underrated on the stick to a degree. Not like an elite-level talker or anything (no pun intended), but as the Cleaner in NJPW when he was dressing down Okada I felt he came off quite well. Also when he was the Belt Collector I thought he was fine, he had a good crazed energy to him and Callis didn’t need to carry him through an entire promo.

Now I wouldn’t want it to get to a degree where he’s MJFing it up and hardly working on television anymore (even though he could stand to ease himself back physically some IMO), it’s just a part of Omega’s work I don’t know gets quite enough attention.

Reminds me of AJ in a sense. He’s known for being a great wreslter, but his character work/mic work is overlooked I feel

There's this idea that Kenny is a bad promo, or that he's not believable, and...I've never gotten it? He's no worse than fine on the mic; and as far as believable, I've always felt like he could be summed up as "stats-obsessed gamer with the body of a god," which I think he nails. And I see no reason why that isn't a valid wrestling character.

He's cut some solid promos in NJPW and AEW and I'll always have a softspot for his NJPW post-match promos. I wonder if it's a case of preference than anything else.

I think Kenny subscribes to the idea with him less is more. He's not a bad promo by any means, BUT he does tend to go over the top in promos as well.

His promo is not very American-Like. It deviates a lot from the norm but its really good.

I remember the first time I was exposed to Kenny….the night they kicked AJ outta Bullet Club.

The promo he cut that night had me scratching my head.

Now? Dude is mad underrated on the stick. He’s light years ahead of where he was that night.

On Swerve's podcast he said mic time isn't that interesting to him which I found interesting (That whole podcast is a must listen for a glimpse at Kenny's mindset for his work coming up and just in general cuz Swerve and Kenny have a lot of fun topics).

I think Kenny's a pretty good talker. He just has a rhythm and style that isn't very typical for wrestling promos and it can sound a little out of place sometimes.

He'll forever be over with me for that Bangkok joke with Evil Uno back when he was champ.

Back on topic, his videos for the Ospreay match for WK, where he was sitting in the chair cutting his promo in Japanese was peak promo Kenny Omega to me.

I wish he'd do more of those. He came off like a final boss type character, it was great.

I watch language Youtube channels where guys go all over speaking different languages to locals and such, there is a notion that if you don't speak a language for a long time you can get "rusty", but I've never seen one of them say that speaking another language is going to make another language fall out of their head because they're speaking the other one too much...

So I guess the "premise" of this is... I've never heard of this before, Chump has never heard this before... so where did you hear that it could be a thing, or are you just spitballing? Because that's fine too, that's the clarification I think is wanted here.

As I've said earlier that I've pretty much completely lost my ability to speak one (no, not Japanese, but French, in my case)) I used to be able to (at least to an extent, I can still kind of read some of it) once I no longer got the opportunities to speak it.

I don't think that remotely engendered the sort of aggression that came in response at all.
