I wonder what's going on in the mind of someone who is the most well-known wrestler of all time and still has to lie to make himself seem more important.
Is that someone who is so incredibly insecure that they need to make up stories, or someone who is so manically egotistical that they can't imagine anything happening without them being involved?

I love that this thread is already 3 pages in and we still aren't close to telling all the ridiculous lies he's told.
He claimed that he was going to turn heel around 1990 and change his name to Triple H/Hollywood Hulk Hogan years before the NWO gimmick and the other guy who eventually called himself HHH.
He was angry at his payoff/card position at Summerslam 2006 and said that so many fans walked out of the arena after his match because it was the true main event and the rest of the show had a half empty arena. Complete bullshit as usual. One look at the Edge/Cena main event and it's clear the arena is packed and super hot.

Talking like Andre died immediately after WrestleMania III when he was alive for another six years.

The George Foreman grill. Let’s look at this seriously: when the grill was first marketed the selling point was that it was a way to reduce fat in your diet. George Foreman was fresh off a run as world champion at the unheard of age of 40 and attributed his athletic longevity to a healthy diet, and he had also come out as a grilling fanatic. At that same time, Hogan was testifying to steroids and other drugs in court. Yeah, the creators of the grill were totally going to use him as the spokesman of a product all about health and clean eating.

Saying Owen Hart took his side after his(Hogan's) verbal scuffle with Bret. That was in his book.

I just saw that he took credit for bringing Mark Callaway to Vince.
Basically, he said they were filming Suburban Commando and needed another big guy and he remembered Mean Mark, who was “wrestling in Atlanta, Georgia for Jim Barnett,” and suggested him. Once Hulk got an actual look at him, they became friends and he told Mark he should go to New York and brought him to Vince, who took one look at him and named him The Undertaker, which Hulk didn’t think was going to work, but he was wrong, brother!

If he is taking credit for Ric Flair's "glorified stuntman" quote about Mick Foley, I don't know where to start with that one.

Wait, what?! I haven't heard this Hogan lie. Who did he tell this one to? www.youtube.com/watch?v=WV6mf9ijX8s"Shawn Michaels pulled a fast one on Bret Hart and held him down and pinned him and Bret couldn't do anything about it and the so called excellence of execution supposed to be the greatest wrestler of all, little teeny Shawn Michaels held him down and embarrassed him" lol. It’s the “little teeny Shawn Michaels” part which kills me. Of all the things that Montreal could’ve been about. A matter of ego and professionalism and Bret thinking he couldn’t drop the belt to Shawn after all his unprofessional behavior and unwillingness to return the favor? Bret really internalizing his character as a Canadian hero whose fans he didn’t want to let down? Nah. In Hulk World, it has to be because he was too small, brother.

he sued WCW because Russo called him bald (yes I know that's not the only reason he sued but its hilarious how much umbrage he'd take about people pointing out the obvious) I love dark side of the ring "Hogan did not like being called bald despite... not having any hair." -Lance Storm.

The more detailed version of the sick kid at Wembley is amazing, and even more so because it was a tangent in describing how he knew Simon Cowell:
"He came to help with the wrestling album. Long story. I'll make it short. I was in Wembley Stadium and I saw a lot of Make-A-Wish kids. It was me, Michael Jackson, Mr. T. It was all the Make-A-Wish kids during the 80s and 90s. I had a kid there that was in rough shape. The EMTs were with him and he was on the stretcher and you know, his body odor and stuff, it had a smell to it that I hadn't smelled in a while. Not bad, but it was just a different type of smell. I really wasn't sure what it was and the parents were freaking out. They were Hulkamaniacs. I told the doctors and EMTs you know, ‘The kid is in kind of trouble here, you know? So let me say my goodbyes and give him a hug and kiss him. I got a nice place for him out at ringside at Wembley Stadium and it was all roped off.’ So I went to wrestle and I kept looking, I kept looking, and the kid wasn't there. So when I came back from wrestling, I was the last person to wrestle in the main event. I said, 'What happened to the family out there?' They said the kid passed away.”
The facts and details being so off is funny enough, but what I love is that he both has to point out that the child smells weird and that parents were Hulkamaniacs. Even in a completely fictional scenario he has to passively insult the kid and stroke his own ego.

There’s zero reason to make up this ridiculous story and stick to it, adding insane details, for the last 30 years.

*some* of these like HBK holding Bret down for the pin at the Montreal screwjob don't sound like lies to me but rather Hogan didn't remember exactly what happened.
