Personally, I am for! He was a very cool brawler (I particularly remember his excellent fight against Chris Benoit at Judgment Day 2006) and he trained several big names in the federation, superstars and divas.

I was a kid when he debuted in wwe, so I knew nothing of him in wcw. He had a pretty decent career in WWE alone.

I always loved Finlay in WCW and WWE. He's done a helluva job working with the ladies as well backstage. He absolutely believe he should be in the HOF.

Finlay was a great worker and had a pretty nice, long career in the major leagues, especially considering that he was almost 40 years old before North American audiences became aware of him.

Yes, absolutely, both for in-ring and behind the scenes.

If anyone votes no you better put your no vote explanation in here because I'd love to hear it.

Yes. In the US he's known as a bit part player in WCW who had a surprisingly good career revival in the mid-2000s, but he's a bit of a legend in Europe and the UK and had an exceptional career on this side of the Atlantic before going to the States.

Assuming you mean the WWE Hall of Fame the answer from me will almost always be yes because there is no criteria for entry.

Only if they invite David to do the induction and he beats the heck out of him.

Yes. His in-ring career might not have been enough alone as he was a career midcarder and never reached the peak popularity of other HoF midcarders like Godfather/Torrie/Koko but when you add in his contributions to improving women's wrestling in the past 15-20 years and how highly everyone speaks of him I think he definitely goes in eventually.

Sure. Even if there was actual criteria. Especially so since there's not.

Like someone asked which HOF?
But pretty much any HOF in wrestling that covers all of wrestling is one that Finley deserves to be in.
Not long after he appeared in WCW some ,I think CWA germany, footage of his got into the tape trading circles. WOW. Dude just got every little thing right.

Accolades beside, he is the blueprint of a wrestler who truly doesn't need to win to mean business. His WWE debut match against Matt Hardy was one of the best debuts I can think of, because it was a proof of concept for a wrestler without a "gimmick". He lost the match, but Matt was the one leaving it abused. And that was Finlay's whole WWE career. I think he was singular in that aspect and still kind of is, which alone warrants an induction.

See, he was only a career midcarder in North America. As I said further up, he was a big deal over here in the eighties, was one of the heels who worked against Big Daddy and I think headlined one of the FA Cup Final shows, which used to pull decent numbers. So if we're looking at the WWE Hall of Fame as an all of wrestling hall of fame, then I think he absolutely gets in as a wrestler alone.

Even leaving aside his in ring career, dude belongs in it just for his work as a trainer/road agent.

I haven't seen much if any of his European work, but if Jericho is telling the truth on this one(and I have no reason not to believe him) then Finlay able to get the people to go crazy while doing very little must have been amazing.
Finlay should probably be in any wrestling HoF
