If they are going do live action reaction of something so recent, that means a Ghost and Molly McGee live action adaptation could be coming soon.

Ehh let the Rock have his new pet project.
Auli'i Cravalho is coming back as well.
I think this could actually be good.

Its amusing that Disney's shameless greed with live action remakes and Rock's shameless ambitions for success after Black Adam's failure have aligned so succinctly. I love Rock, but his shameless ambition has made him the king of putting the cart before the horse. Prime example: "Our Christmas franchise." Rock, buddy, let's see if there's any interest in the one you're making before deciding if there's going to be any more.

It being the VA actually playing the live action parts does add a bit of intrigue to it but like... why? What could this possibly do in such a short amount of time that the animated film didn't? They'd have to make it actually very different for it to even matter, because this isn't even nostalgia farming anymore it's like "Hey wanna see that film you just saw BUT REAL THIS TIME??"
Feels like desperation more than anything

It hasn't even been 7 years.
Disney must be really out of ideas this time.

At this point it should be common knowledge that a film personally spearheaded by the Rock won't have good results.
This should have been apparent when he decided to make a movie about events that were already closely covered as they unfolded in a documentary..............twice.

Auli'i Cravalho Is 22 so it’s kinda now or never if they wanted to use the same talent.
She’s pretty damn talented, when they did the live action Little Mermaid tv special there was a lot of problems with that special, But she was not one of them. It was weird that was around the same time they announced the live action remake of the little mermaid and some people said why didn’t they just go with Auli'i. I’m glad Disney already had something planned for her.

Okay but live-action Wreck-It Ralph tho.
Is what I would say if I actually watched live action remakes.

Speaking of Disney and out of ideas, why don't they give that movie about Giants they scrapped back in 16 another shot?

If we're pulling scrapped Disney projects out of mothballs, then I'd love to know more about "Spacecraft One". Only a one sentence description exists about this cancelled 1976 Disney animated movie, but it has always intrigued me.

Only a one sentence description exists about this cancelled 1976 Disney animated movie, but it has always intrigued me. They’ve been rumored to be mulling over a remake of The Black Hole for years and the acquisition of Star Wars pulled all of the wind from those sails. I imagine all space projects take a back seat.
