Seth Rollins v Omos is so random. Assuming we get some build for this this week.

How many times have they announced a PPV match there's been absolutely no build for? That really is random.
I remember during the June or July PPV in 2016 they announced Brock Lesnar v Randy Orton for Summerslam completely out the blue. Not only were they not feuding but Randy hadn't even returned yet from a near year-long injury and Brock I don't think had been seen since Wrestlemania as he was busy with a UFC fight. That was at least a boxing/UFC style announcement of a big time highly anticipated fight between two big stars. That's not exactly the case here (no offense to my fellow Omosapiens).

I like how 3 matches are totally random.
This feels like the days when Gorilla was running the show.
Omos vs. Seth Rollins is just as random as Razor Ramon vs. Vader in 1996. No buildup, it just happened on a PPV.

No buildup, it just happened on a PPV. Only the Omos-Seth match is completely random. The others have all had some build. Rhea-Zelina have been feuding for a few weeks with the LWO-Judgment Day feud, and Lashley and Reed have been feuding as well, with Theory just getting involved this past week.

Seth Vs. Omos is the only match I'm looking forward to. Rhea Vs. Zelina is predictable, not interested in watching that bitch Cody and I skip anything involving the Bloodline. The only interesting thing to me is the fact it's taking place in Puerto Rico.

How the draft goes for both women is gonna go quite a ways in seeing how that turns out and with the draft happening before hand pretty much locks in the result.

The people saying oh Cody facing Brock is just as good as winning the title at Mania have some kind of WWE Stockholm Syndrome. I had that for years.

Iyo channeling a lot of peoples feelings right now. When Bianca kicks out of all of Iyo's finishers and wins clean with a no sell, I might skip wrestling social media for a decade to be on the safe side...

So far, Seth vs Omos is legitimately the only match I find slightly interesting. Bloodline six man... they crashed that spaceship at Mania. Cody vs Brock...whatevs. Bianca wins LOL... no thanks. Rhea vs jobber...pass Theory, Bobby, and Man Mountain without the rock...don't care Have they announced Bad Bunny's match yet? That will probably be fun.

Is this the first time Brock's worked four PPVs in a row?

Is this the first time Brock's worked four PPVs in a row? Last year he worked Day 1, Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber and Wrestlemania. Since returning at Summerslam 2021 he's definitely been more active. Depending if you count Roadblock as a PPV (the earlier 2016 one with HHH/Ambrose which was like a network special) he worked Rumble, Fastlane, Roadblock and Mania that year. So if he wrestles at Night of Champions it'll only be the second time in his career he's wrestled 5 PPVs straight with the first being immediately after his debut in 2002 when he wrestled on every post-Mania PPV that year until Armageddon were he didn't have a match but still appeared and interfered in the Angle/Big Show match. Edit: Scratch that, he wrestled on 5 PPVs in a row in 2003 also with Rumble/No Way Out/Mania/Backlash/Judgment Day.

Here's a thought. Do you go Brock/Cody main event or Bunny vs. Priest?
I think the crowd will be tired after cheering the Bunny match, the Cody/Brock match could fall flat as the main event.
Anyone else here think Bunny and Priest should close the show and we all go home happy with Bunny winning?

Anyone else here think Bunny and Priest should close the show and we all go home happy with Bunny winning? Puerto Rico is going to be a super hot crowd so I wouldn't worry about them getting tired. This isn't one of those 2016-19 7 hour WM style PPVs that exhausted the crowd. If Brock/Cody is a one and done thing with a decisive finish I think it should go on last. If it's just going to be a set-up for a future match then I'd probably have Bad Bunny close. Brock/Cody probably should continue post-Backlash actually. You need something big to keep Cody busy and away from that new title match at Night of Champions because I really don't think he should be winning that one. I'd have him feud with Brock for a month or two, come out on top then win MITB and choose to face Roman at Summerslam.
