Not just where you want to go, but also the experiences you hope to find there.

Japan (I kinda just want to experience everything. The bunny island, Japanese wrestling, anime stores, explore shrines and whatever else might be available) Fire Island Paris, France (Mostly to see Notre Dame cathedral, but also just to generally explore) Lawrence Kansas (I went there with a group of friends from a Supernatural message board I ran when i was 20, I think it'd be interesting to revisit it now that I'm older) Canada mostly to visit a friend of mine up there, but probably also some sightseeing.

Mainly historical sites and landmarks. Like Hadrian's Wall, The Athens Acropolis and Parthenon, The Great Pyramids, etc. If I could go back in time I would like to see the Egyptian city of Memphis, The Colossus of Rhodes, and The Lighthouse of Alexandria.

Ethiopia - Explore the churches carved from mountains, the old royal sites and just the land in general to take it in.
New Orleans - Just go and have fun in one of the more unique cities in the US.

Paris, France (Mostly to see Notre Dame cathedral, but also just to generally explore) Seeing the cathedral, after a boat ride down the river, is an experience you would be hard to forget. The whole city has the most delightful ambiance. New Orleans - Just go and have fun in one of the more unique cities in the US. The first time I ever set foot on American soil was in this city. I have been back to the US many times, including this upcoming May, but New Orleans is still the most unique.

Egypt. For the pyramids, sphinx and a ride down the Nile. I hear you can do 2 day tours to Egypt from Cyprus so might do that for a big holiday.

North Korea - not anytime soon; I'm not interested in an expensive government tour where your guide never leaves your side and your money goes into the pockets of some very unpleasant people but if the day ever comes when I can travel freely around the country, talk to who I want and my tourist loot can be spent contributing towards tips and wages of regular folk just as I've done in China, Vietnam, and Cuba in the past then I would love to go. I've traveled around South Korea a lot and have a keen interest in Korean culture and language so of course would be interested to visit the North.
New Orleans - I've been to most places of interest on each American coast but have never visited the middle, NO appears to be the standout place due to nightlife. Am put off by Vegas due to the average British tourist who goes there is the type of bloke who exclusively dines out at Five Guys and thinks Andrew Tate has a point so heaven knows what the other nationalities are like.
Moscow - probably not now, too locked down and glum due to "events" but hopefully things change in my lifetime. Supposed to be a great city for history and art and was quite the party city back in the day.
Hokkaido - the one part of Japan that I haven't done yet, Sapporo seems fun and there's a huge national park I'd like to see plus you aren't ever going to have a bad meal while traveling through Japan.

Japan, but I'm going this fall. Probably not watching any wrestling, but I'll probably some merch. I want to go to Europe and see a castle, maybe Spain since I can visit Almeria Fortress and then MiniHollywood, its where they shot a lot of Spaghetti Westerns. I want to visit New Zealand, they shoot a lot of movies there. I'm not that far from Toronto, so I really should go there sometime and then visit Vancouver on the other side of Canada.

Japan is top, should have finally gone there in April 2020 but y'know. Want the mix of the traditional in Kyoto and the more modern culture of Tokyo (plus a few other places like Nara). And watch wrestling of course.
Rome, Pompeii and Herculaneum - The history
Jordan and Egypt - Petra and the pyramids/temples
New Zealand and Iceland - Nature plus lotr. Very expensive though Costa Rica - Wildlife and general nature Cambodia - Ankor Watt
Many more but they're the top ones. Currently debating if I should get to one of them on my next trip or a cheaper/shorter holiday to Spain, Romania or The Baltics.

Been to Ankor Watt and it's amazing. If you go you have to do sunset at it and see the sun rise over the main complex.

I'd like to someday see the rest of Canada. I've been across most of Ontario and parts of Quebec but this nation is so huge that I'd like to see the rest.
That said, I've done the solo traveler thing and it's alright for a few days but not really my scene. I'd much rather travel with someone.

So many still even though I’ve been lucky to see so many places.
Only continent I haven’t been to is South America (and Antarctica obviously) so would love to go to Brazil, Argentina & Peru someday
Been wanting to go to Italy for years finally going to go later this year to Rome, Pompeii & Milan. Was supposed to go to Rome for a Euro 2020 game but the pandemic squashed that.
Also want to go to Egypt because of the pyramids & the sphinx all the cool stuff I learnt at school.
A tour of Scandinavia is also on my list, went to Denmark as a child but don’t remember a lot about it.
As for the US New Orleans & Texas are the 2 places I haven’t seen yet I would like to.

Really only 4 places left. I did a pile of traveling when I was young.
1.Alaska-Been to 49 of the 50 states. No clue where in the state I want to go. But want to cross it off my list. 2.Smiljan, Croatia-My Maternal grandfather and his side of the family was from this small village. For all my life I heard about the place. Mostly from Grandpa who left there when he was 5. Also from other members of the family kept being told that Nikola Telsa is a relative. He is also from this village. 3.South Vietnam-My girl has never been outside the US. Until we started dating she rarely went out of MS/LA. Her mother was born in South Nam and lived over there until her mid 20s. She has wanted to go to see where that side of her family is from. And it is part of the world that I have never been too. 4.South Korea-When I was 15 I learned that one of my great grandmothers was from Korea. And like with my girl,I want to go see where that side of my family is from. I never met that Great Granny, she died almost a decade before I was born. But the family that knew her has said she refused to talk about her life before she moved to Pass Christian MS. And really on her part of the family tree we know nothing before her.
Odds are good I go to none of these places.
I hate flying. I refuse to travel by boat/ship. And really I hate traveling. Thankfully she isn;t big on traveling either. So might just help her cross States off her never traveled too list.

I used to want to go to London, but I've been heavily discouraged by people who visited, or folks I knew who live in the UK. I'm curious to know what people have said about it. There's a lot of derision for London in the rest of the UK (and quite a bit in London), some deserved and some undeserved, and it's a weird city in a lot of ways. I both hate it and also never want to leave.
Anyway, I think about this sometimes and I'm put off, because there's what I hope a place will be like, and there's the reality, and there's a very good chance they're two different things. For example, large parts of the US, or where my granny grew up in Kenya probably aren't how I imagine or how they were at one time. But they're still on my list.
I'd love to go and see cricket at Cape Town, because the cricket ground there is overlooked by Table Mountain and you can sit on the grass. A lot of my places to go list is places with cricket grounds I want to visit, actually.
I've also got Tokyo on my list, because I'm fascinated by the way it seems both like a pretty archetypal East Asian metropolis but also kind of hyper western.
Unfortunately I also f***ing hate flying, which is why I haven't been to a lot of places I would like to go.

Mount Rushmore. It’s the one historical landmark I can remember always wanting to visit and I’m all about Presidential history.
