Socks with sandals... The comfort of regular sandals without the annoyance of dirty soles when you take them off. On a similar vein, Crocs At least in my experience, crocs have a bad rep because more often than not when I see people coming into court for meth/drugs, they show up in crocs. But man are they comfy. The crocs, not the methheads. Facebook's great for the marketplace alone. I get so much shit for dirt cheap. I've gotten many thousands of dollars of dead grandpas' fishing gear for about $100 total. Facebook Marketplace has some real gems if you take a little time. Got a buddy that buys jeeps on Facebook Marketplace. He's had astonishingly good luck outside of the dude that sold the tires separately while we were on the way to pick up the jeep to drive home... that was some bullshit.

Smooth jazz. I unironically love me some Kenny G, Najee and Bob James. Kenny G laid down a sax solo on the new Imperial Triumphant album of all things so that dude has tonnes of artistic cred with me now lol

Seeing that Red Letter Media just released a video on "Mars Attacks!": I'll never not dance to "It's Not Unusual" by Tom Jones.

I just spent the afternoon listening to Sara McLachlan and I won't hear a bad word about it Got to say, one of the best things about being an adult is when you stop caring about what music you think you should be listening to because it's cool, and start listening to what you actually like. It's massively liberating.

Now yea it was a long asss time ago when I was a teen but besides a few "Ok yah that is Gallos he listens to odd music" wasn't like I had people following me around taunting me cause I rather listen to say The Replacements instead of whoever was huge in 1990.

Woolly sweaters. They're comfortable and something you can get away with wearing at work and on a night at the pub.

Naps. As a kid up until my mid-20s, having a nap felt like a waste when you can do more fun stuff. Now at my 30s, having time to get some extra sleep feels amazing.

I have lived 90% of my life in the humid deep south. Don't care if sandals are cool or not they are comfy and it is less clothing I have to wear and sweat thru. Hell since I only gotta film 3 matches this weekend,I am tempted to wear flipflops and my fanny pack when Gallos returns to The Gulf Coast Wrestling in Bay St Louis MS. Smaller venue and if I dont have to run to film much I can get away with wearing flipflops or sandals.

See, it was really different for me and growing up I got a lot of stick for not liking the "right" music and I and people I knew absolutely did get followed around and bullied for it. And even as an adult the British music press - I don't really know how it is in other places - has such a massive preoccupation with its vague notions of "cool" and what you're supposed to be into, but fortunately I'm mature enough now to know how stupid that is.

Same for me. I never cared much for hip hop or rap when I was a teen and got flack for it for not liking "real black music" or something like that.

THe British Music press has always been very different than what we had/have over here. Might have been my size,I was 6'1" the day I started 10th grade and already had to shave at least 3 times a week. Or that I barely talked to anyone, but no one really messed with me. And this was 90. Back when comics, video games, manga and many other things that are widely mainstream weren't. Sure I had people asking me "who is that" pointing at my Sandman, the DC comic, shirt. But most of the time I had earphones on and didn't hear them. And I know kids at school got bullied. But really at least from what I saw that kind of ended after Jr High. Sorry people f***ed with yall over your choice in music.

It would be like the mostly white kids I grew up around talking shit on me for not listening to whatever was playing on country radio at the time.

Sorry people f***ed with yall over your choice in music. It probably didn't help that I wasn't a big kid, but yeah, kids are dicks. It's sort of funny now that some of the stuff I liked then became peak fashion after I was finished with school.
But yeah, I wasn't sure about the American music press, but I remember reading something a long time ago about the different attitudes to musical "cool" in the two places. I think it was an Elvis Costello interview, and he'd talked about how in America you'd see this wide cross section of demographics something like a Willie Nelson show, but you'd never see that in Britain because to "younger" people and the music press, as a veteran artist he probably wouldn't be viewed as "cool". It was pretty interesting.
