This card so far isn’t making me too upset I didn’t get tickets honestly. Nothing feels as big to me as Drew v Roman or Sheamus v Gunther.

Priest has to be the odds on favorite for MITB. Outside shot of LA Knight but I don’t see it.
I think whoever is the final entrant among the ladies is the likely winner, have to figure that Zoey/Becky and Bayley/Iyo will cancel each other out to further their stories. Zelina could win but will 100% lose the cash in if so. So that leaves whoever the final entrant is.

On the men’s side, I can see Priest, Knight or Nakamura all with a legitimate shot. And if someone like Logan Paul gets in the match, he would have to be a favorite as well.

I think the woman that people are speculating the most as the sixth person is Tegan Nox as she's from the UK. She might be a good fit for that role, but if that's the case, she probably shouldn't win because she hasn't really been setting the world on fire, and I feel like she would fail her cash in, because she hasn't been on TV in awhile and she has zero personality.

Seems very likely IYO will win and Bayley will cost her the title when IYO calls her shot against Asuka for Summerslam.
Seems the most obvious clear path to finally doing the break up and firmly establishing IYO as a babyface.
Becky does not need it because she is tied up with Trish and Zoey and seems very likely their blow off to this feud will be at Summerslam.
Zelina is the dark horse and unless they are gonna absoloutley put the title on her it would seem like a collosal waste and then there is whoever the last entrant which is either Tegan or someone getting in via some last chance battle royale.

I’d have thought the obvious last person in the match would be Rodriguez, but she’s kind of in Rousey and Baszler’s orbit still?

Eh, it's likely gonna be the sixth entrant. Because after sleeping on it, Iyo has been cooled off massively, especially since Dakota's injury. She's basically reverted back into being the stooge heel for Bayley. They completely squandered all of her momentum that she got from Puerto Rico in typical WWE fashion, when they should have just pulled the trigger on the following Smackdown, or had called an audible at PR. It'll be hard for her to get that kind of momentum again. Someone pointed out that the audience was interested in Iyo splitting off on her own at first, but WWE took too long to pull the trigger so they've lost interest in her splitting off entirely. And in her as well. I think another thing that will be telling is if Zelina pulls off a victory against Iyo on Friday. If she (Zelina) does it clean or Bayley is involved in the finish (assuming Iyo wins), then you can probably stick a fork in Iyo being a big deal any time soon, because it'll be clear Triple H is waiting for Dakota to return before they resume the split. The fact that Iyo had to cheat to beat Shotzi who has won less than 10 matches this year is not a good omen for Iyo's future. This is like...the one good thing Vince did when he had the book. Is that if he saw someone getting a strong audience reaction, he would try and capitalize on it, while Triple H never strikes while the iron is actually hot. If Iyo was that over in PR, Vince would have seen that as an opportunity to push her harder probably, and pull the trigger on the breakup as soon as the following week on Smackdown. Where Triple H is dragging it out for god knows what reason and any sort of interest in them breaking up has pretty much evaporated. I'm also not convinced the audience would be on Iyo's side when they do implode either. Especially the UK crowd which is heavily pro Bayley. WWE putting Bayley in the MITB match was a huge mistake on their part if their goal is to get Iyo over. It also didn't make sense story wise either, since Bayley until this last Friday was struggling to put down any woman, while Iyo was pretty dominant. And now the roles are reversed. And Bayley hasn't even done anything to really screw with Iyo over the past few weeks either. It would have been better to have Bayley lose her match, and then have her cost Iyo the MITB case intentionally.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Trish get MITB and take the title from Asuka/Charlotte so they can drag out Becky getting her revenge until WM next year.

Trish is supposedly done again after Summerslam, so I doubt it. I also don't really need to see Trish holding a title and only working like one match every two months, like Roman.

Charlotte should win MiTB, and after someone tries to explain to her she can use it to get a title shot whenever she wants. Charlotte will look at them confused because she already can get a title shot whenever she wants. Then she throws the brief case in the trash and disappears for a few months until it's time for her next stat-padding squash. (This is me naively hoping Charlotte won't win the belt the night before)
But I seriously think Bayley should win. UK really loves Bayley so might as well use the huge crowd reaction she will get no matter what.

And Bayley hasn't even done anything to really screw with Iyo over the past few weeks either. It would have been better to have Bayley lose her match, and then have her cost Iyo the MITB case intentionally. Yeah, that’s one thing to consider. When this all started it seemed like they were setting up IYO to turn Face with Bayley turning on her out of jealousy. But, lately it feels like Bayley is being portrayed as being selfless and focusing on Damage Ctrl(sending love to their injured stablemate, Dakota Kai; helping IYO win her qualifying match against Shotzi, when IYO was being overwhelmed; talking up how either herself or IYO will win the briefcase), in contrast to IYO, who’s been more self-centered talking about only herself. Not sure if they do split, if the fans won’t side with Bayley anyway. Also, while the idea of Asuka/IYO sounds great on paper, I’m not that confident it will pan out that way in practice. I mean the crowd “WHAT?”-ing IYO and Asuka’s exchange a few weeks ago ain’t an encouraging sign.

I still think it is going to play out the way it was intended with Bayley turning on IYO.
And the best way would be to have Bayley turn on her during her big title match at Summerslam costing her the title and IMO this is why they have sort of stepped it back a little to have Bayley be super supportive right now...even though everyone and their great grandma knows it is coming but WWE probably thinks by scaling it back it will no longer be as obvious.
My ideal scenario is having IYO win the MITB and call her shot at Summerslam but she does not necesarraly need it to get a shot at Summerslam she could always get it by other usual WWE means but to me it would be a bigger deal to have her win in London and then call her shot instead of doing the usual cash in on unsuspecting goober.

Bad news on that front. Boozer is pretty much putting the idea of Asuka/Iyo happening to rest. He just tweeted out "aint no sunshine" in response to a report from Sports Illustrated saying that Asuka/Iyo is the plan going forward. It's pretty clear WWE has no actual intention of ever doing Asuka/Iyo despite there being a lot of intrigue behind the match, and they just love to tease it just to piss off fans. Maybe once both Asuka and Iyo are free from WWE it'll happen, but not before then at this point. It's pretty clear the long term plan for the top of the SD women's division is Charlotte/Bianca for the title, which is why I wouldn't be shocked if Asuka loses in a few weeks, and then they build towards Bianca/Charlotte at Summerslam. Otherwise I doubt Charlotte would have been back. She's been pretty open about how she doesn't do non-title feuds, she feels like they are below her. And it shows in her booking as she's only had one non-title feud since being called up (against Trish), and she didn't care for it apparently, despite it getting significantly more build than the actual women's title matches at Summerslam.

I will say, the men's MITB is petty unpredictable this year.

Well that sucks but It would also make sense that HHH does not pull the trigger on it yet and instead would rather do Bayley Vs IYO at Summerslam instead and really that is the story that should be told first. I can see him wanting to do Asuka Vs IYO either at Mania or if they return to Puerto Rico for Backlash he does it there after the reaction IYO got and putting an all Joshi match in front of that crowd would be like nothing else. Either way MITB will be interesting to see what comes out of it if anything for IYO.

Of the announced names on the female side IYO is the only winner I see with a story. She wins, Bayley acts supportive but you can tell she's actually jealous and eventually screws over IYO when she cashes in.
For the men right now I think either LA Knight or Priest. Knight because he seems to be getting bigger pops each week and Priest because they seem to be potentially teasing a face turn and something with Priest/Balor. Maybe Priest wins MITB, Seth beats Finn, Finn beats down Seth after the match and tries to convince Priest to cash-in but he doesn't want to do it in that cowardly way then you maybe do Priest/Balor at Summerslam. I can see the MITB case being put on the line if they go that route even if I've always hated the idea of the briefcase being defended. Once you win it it's yours for up to a year. It's not a title, you shouldn't have to defend it and look like an idiot if you agree to.

Given the Bloodline exploding, I would have thought this would be a worthy theme for MITB but oh well:
