Shit, have Jericho give final proper thanks to the jas, turn him faceish and have him feud with christian down the line. That would be neat to me. I’m still angry about that triple threat. Ass Cream on a Pole! Just keep Bully Ray out of this program (and AEW), and it'll be fine.

Now that I think about it, when The Pinnacle was a thing, a lot of the focus was on MJF. Sure, you had Wardlow as the muscle, Tully Blanchard as the manager, and Shawn Spears as kind of the right-hand-man. However, FTR felt like they were just...there. Correct me if I am wrong but a lot of the time, it felt like it was primarily focused on MJF and the rest were lackeys.

A bunch of best friends who happen to own similar track suits.

Yeah the Pinnacle wasn't nearly as much of a Horsemen-type of group as I'd hoped they'd be. They were all just kind of loosely aligned. To AEW's credit they've gotten a lot better at having their stables feel cohesive. House of Black, Blackpool Combat Club, even the Outcasts all have unified themes and identities while still letting their members shine as individuals. JAS is the only real outlier these days in that they just seem like a bunch of dudes who hang out together; Inner Circle sorta had that same type of issue but they at least had a clear "established main eventer, established tag team, young future star, enforcer" dynamic going on, which JAS doesn't.

I prefer smaller factions, and one where everyone serves a purpose. I can't really say that about the House of Black, because you could swap Buddy Matthews and Julia Hart for literally anyone else in goth face paint and it wouldn't matter.
Since someone already brought up the Four Horsemen, I'm going to say that I'm fond of a setup like the Fabulous Freebirds. You've got the charismatic leader in Hayes, the muscle in Gordy, and the little weaselly, mouthy guy in Buddy Roberts who can eat the pins without hurting the group. I'm also a fan of three-man teams where any two can defend the tag belts.
