Sting had genuinely never had a bad match in AEW before today and was going great in this match specifically until Sammy slapped him in the head on his stupid spot. How anyone can blame what went wrong in that match on Sting and not Sammy is beyond me.. I'm gonna just chalk that up to "It was an accident and it could happen to anyone" tbh Seemed like Sammy f***ing up big time on the distance of a cutter more than a headbutt or anything like that to me shit happens

However, Sting is a 64 year old man and doesn’t need to be putting himself in these spots anymore. that’s my point. I’m glad it looks like All In or All Out might be a wrap. He deserves to go out on a positive note.

It's just not an example of why Sting shouldn't be wrestling anymore as he had been great in every moment before tonight.

I agree he should have just taken the 630 through the table probably, but I assume they practiced the spot and it was fine... live matches are way more unpredictable. I just hope he's ok overall and Sammy doesn't feel too bad about it

A 64 year old man should not be taking that spot especially with Sammy at the helm
Time for Sting to go tho

A solid 7. The only really blow away 5 Star match was Omega vs Oz.
Everything else was solid.
I've been down on AEW, but this was a good show.

9/10. Really fun show:
Athena vs. Billie was really good. Athena is such a good heel and Billie has such potential.
MJF did a fantastic job of getting the beat match possible out of Tanahashi given the latter’s limitations at this punt.
Punk vs. Kojima was very fun.
The Fatal Four Way was chaotic nonsense of the best kind.
SANADA vs. JB did its job of giving the former a good win and cementing the latter’s heel turn.
BCC vs. Elite was awesome. It felt like a star making showcase for Takeshita and Ishii getting the win was a cool surprise. Willow vs. Toni was a solid match, albeit with a somewhat abrupt finish.
Ospreay vs. Omega was awesome. Please do the rubber match at All In.
The six man tag was probably the weakest match on the show, but it was still good regardless.
Danielson vs. Okada was very good. I was not expecting Danielson to win. But it feels like they left plenty of room for a possible rematch later on.

Didn't get the chance to watch tonight (was seeing Emperor in NYC \m/ ) but I'm glad the show appears to have been good. Looking forward to watching it tomorrow and hoping I can avoid spoilers until then.

I never give 10s but I'm struggling to find something to remove a point for. Just amazing pro wrestling fun from start to finish.

Only just now got the chance to watch but will give it a 9. Do think the show was a bit overstuffed and the main event was kind of a disappointment (still very good, mind you, just kind of hobbled by the clear need to keep Bryan from bumping too much) but that was a hell of a show.

I think had the final two matches lived up to their hype (and the main event was good, just not as good as hoped), you'd be looking at an easy 10/10.
That said, it was still an incredible PPV and I think my show of the year so far. 9/10.

Solid 8, felt like I got my moneys worth overall.
The Punk match was probably my fav of the night, followed by the 4-way. Osprey/Omega was good but too long and exhausted the crowd. Who then had to sit through that six-man, that match sucked. I blame the empty seats in the main event on that.

Went with an 8. Fun show overall but once again AEW falls into time management issues, I was nearly falling asleep before Danielson/Okada which is not great.
High points: - International 4 way was a really fun sprint, the one match I feel could have got a bit longer. Glad to see OC/ZSJ might be continuing. - 10 man tag was my MOTN, ridiculously fun giving everyone a chance to shine, Eddie and Mox's dynamics and chop war was incredible, Takeshita looks like a beast, and the finish caught me completely by surprise because going by his AEW track record I thought Ishii was going to eat a pin if anything, not be the guy who won the thing. - Minoru Suzuki is a gem, when he joined in with the pose our Discord call lost it. - Final Countdown. Magic moment.
Low points: - I'm astonished to see that Punk/Kojima was only 13:40, it felt twice as long. - Danielson's injury probably played a big part so can't complain too much, but was expecting that match to reach that higher gear and then it just ended. - Ospreay's presence still makes me nauseous. Good match but yeah. - I never, ever want to see a Tiger Driver 91 in wrestling again. Please. One of the most horrific, impossible to take safely bumps ever, there was enough drama without it.

9, almost based on the strength of Omega and Ospreay alone, one of the best matches I've ever watched live. Four Way was fantastic and the Elite/BCC match was great, there was some stuff that underwhelmed a bit and ended abruptly but more or less everything was decent to amazing and there were a lot of great little moments like Danielson using Final Countdown. Probably the best pre show I've ever watched too.

A generous 8.
The 2 opening matches were duds for me. I respect the hell outta Tana, but man, I feel bad for him as age and wear start to take their toll.
The "one, two, three" in the IWGP match was the cleanest and least-reactive three count I have ever heard from a crowd. Very matter of fact. But hey, JB heel turn. Let's go!
The Punk match was interesting for the crowd alone. He hit what was probably the best looking flying elbow he's ever done. It actually looked like a flying elbow and not the "flailing leap" as I usually call it.
Fatal 4 Way was everything I wanted it to be. "Orange Bollocks" never fails to get a chuckle from me. Danny G's dancing being over with the crowd made me smile.
10 men tag was a lot of fun. Super shocked Ishii got the pin, but not surprised that Yuta ate it. AND NO MORE f***ING "WILD THING"!! THANK YOU!!
Omega vs. Ospreay was MOTN (4 way right behind it) but I liked their WK match better, this one felt a bit disjointed in spots, but still a fantastic match. They have amazing chemistry.
6 man tag...woof. I really hope Sting's okay.
Main event was fiiiiiine I guess. Now knowing AmDrag was actually hurt I can shave some criticism from it. Most of the love goes to "Final Countdown" being back. That was amazing.
A decent show, just really, really long, and not everything delivered to make it a perfect 10.
Also points off for "Shut Up Kevin Kelly" being the most repeated sentence in my notes. Such as: “Shota has been on fire literally in New Japan”...oh my god...Shut up Kevin Kelly.

Not a single bad match on the card and my only complaint being a rather tasteless spot in the main event. If I don't give this a 10 I'm kind of a choad.

8.5/10, so 9/10, really, because Final Countdown.
Points deducted for half the preshow being meh, for MJF/Tanahashi being a weak start to the PPV, for Sanada/JB's ending being a bit abrupt, for the Outcasts being the Outcasts (I can't help it, despite being talented girls, the booking makes them close to being a channel changer for me), for the Sting match taking a wrong turn somewhere in there, and for AEW's production missing many shots these days.
The rest was great.
Still missing the Big Show/Matt Menard duo on commentary, though, wish Tony could find a way to alternate commentary teams more between some of those matches, during those big PPVs.
