Again... Not a good show to me.
I'm starting to think AEW isn't for me anymore.

Hobbs should have won in 2 minutes, right? In AEW the elderly are very powerful. It’s surprising they don’t get more old viewers.

I've really warmed to Bullet Club Gold, although the utter predictability of the outcomes (a common AEW issue) brings it down a few notches. Good to see the bag is still going to be used in some plot capacity even though the KENTA match didn't work out.

Sorry Kev Kel, your style isn't meshing with AEW tv for me and him and Nigel have negative chemistry. It's not just his style it's that he clearly hasn't watched much aew but pretends he has. That makes him sound disingenuous and not being able to trust you lead commentator is always a problem. In comparison Schiavone was unfamiliar with most wrestlers when he started but owned it, I've heard others like Drew Parker do the same, they have colleagues that fill in the gaps and their enthusiasm carries them in the meantime. Hopefully they'll improve because the feel is coming together now and I can understand why they want the serious sports style as opposed to the lighter tone of the webshows or Veda Scott.

House of Black/Andrade I don't feel is completely directionless because Malakai has been calling back to NXT days. Andrade as a face I think has been working because he's been busting out crazy offense and giving the crowd a reason to care in his matches to overcome. The DQ finish is what it is, AEW doesn't do it often, and yes Andrade needs some friends, but LFI are heels right now, so if he gets some, maybe the Lucha Bros would make more sense. I won't call it Wyatt Aimless just yet as it's been three weeks, but I do get he needs to find some backup, he's facing three guys by himself. Miro should be doing this imo, I get the weird drama of his last year but Miro is a god damn destroyer, maybe one of the best jobber squasher I've ever seen, and he should go on a tear where he doesn't lose for a bit. I would honestly have him be the one that dethrones Orange, As for Jay White, I disagree with this the most. Bullet Club Gold is must see TV for me and these guys aren't exactly presented as Jobbers. Gunn Club just beat The Hardys, they as a collective just beat Punk's group two weeks ago, and Jay White has yet to be pinned himself. They together collectively are a cocaine fueled barrel of insanity for me that I can't wait to see more of. I think they need a big hoss to really tie the group together, and idk what Jay would have done if he were signed to WWE, but I can say, personally, I am on the Bang Bang Gang wagon. Just some of my own thoughts, sucks you aren't enjoying a lot of the Collision stuff, I get it if you don't like Punk and FTR (Really enjoyed Punk in ring since he came back so far myself) so it is what it is, just like to try and give you some hope about things going forward yknow? Yeah I remember HoB vs Death Triangle feeling very directionless at first too but the eventually trios matches were goddamn bangers. Hopefully we get to the HoB vs Andrade/Rush/Dralistico match sooner rather than later. Miro is so frustrating because even during his squash match I was thinking "goddamn this guy is good." He has presence, he has charisma, he hits hard - if I didn't know he was such a selfish knobhead he'd still be one of my favorites. BC Gold...I've made my thoughts on the Gunns abundantly clear, lol. But I love Jay, and I like Juice even though he's been presented as roughly on par with Tony Nese in terms of credibility. I think I'd dig the faction more, even with the Gunns, if they were feuding with talents who I wasn't allergic to. There's other, non-talent-related issues too. The commentary is shockingly poor, which sucks because I like both KK and Nigel, and both the match pacing and show layout feel very "WWE-lite" to me. I dig the distinct presentation - the set design, the increased emphasis on quick promos and video packages - but right now the bad outweighs the good for me. Really hoping things pick up cause I have tickets for the Newark show in a couple weeks, lol

Didn't watch. I was visiting my folks for the July 4th weekend. I forgot it was on until 9, and at that point I had already hijacked my parents TV for Money in the Bank and felt bad about taking it over again.
