Such a fun episode.
Plenty of great action in ring and promo wise as well. Shout out to Keith Lee in particular who showed what he's still capable of. Fantastic crowd. Loved the Nick Wayne vignette ahead of his AEW debut next week. Having three tournaments on the go at once is actually working as they are incorporating existing feuds and storylines into all of them.
A great pacing too; we're starting to see the major benefits of Collision in the fact that they're not trying to cram 1001 things into each episode of Dynamite and leaving the stuff and wrestlers they do have on a chance to breathe, it just makes a better viewing experience.
9/10.

Went 9 on the strength of the opener (some of the spots in that were just insane, Darby is one of a kind), the main event, the Callis heat and everything involving MJF and Cole. Just loved those bits.

That's what I want from aew! The opener alone was more fun than the whole of Collision and then most of what followed was great too. They even fixed a few pet peeves, utilised footage from elsewhere well, gave context for an upcoming debut and found a way to make Cole and MJF entertaining again when I was dreading their fued continuing. They might be revitalising Jericho too. 9/10
At least Collision will have the better women's match (tbf Collision does have a good card this week).

Really fun show outside of that rough-as-hell Ruby vs Britt match. I'll go 8. Probably would've been a 9 if the Britt vs Ruby match was better.

Great opening match, and it was cool as hell to watch it take only about 5 minutes for Keith Lee to get his swag back from the crowd. Darby and OC are the perfect duo for an "oh my god we're always in peril, please help" team.
See, internet, Adam Cole DOES lift weights.
The Acclaimed's "Canadian Wildfire's" line was kinda iffy. A lot of the crowd didn't like it. I didn't care for it, but maybe I'm being too sensitive.
The heat for Don Callis is amazing. He's AEW's Dom Dom. I wish Callis would lean into it more, stop mid promo and tell the crowd to "shut up". It would make it even better. Like when Rhea says "show some respect, and let him talk" the crowd loses their mind booing.
The stuff with Cole and MJF is great. This is easily the most I've enjoyed MJF, and proves a snarky babyface version can work.
Damn, Britt was overcoming them oddz in this one. Holy hell. This was reaching Psycho Clown levels, and made the Outcasts look really, really bad. Weakest match on the show. I'm telling y'all when Saraya is around the group gets dragged down. Storm and Soho just work well together as a duo. Kick Saraya out, and run with them two.
By that match I said out loud, "can someone shut that shrieking child up?"
Nick Wayne looks stoned as hell in his lower third. Excited to see him debut next week tho.
Really, really good main event. Even though Wheels took an L yet again.
This one flew by, once the main event started I was like "oh shit, already?" Some "eh" matches, but hot crowd bumped it up.
8/10

Gotta assume Britt was not really recovered at all. She was slow as hell and looked very skinny, too. So I won't hold the match against her, I'm sure they both did their best under the circumstances. Also Ruby went over, which doesn't make up for last year but at least was the right choice. Ruby should honestly win the whole thing this time; Willow's good too but if Ruby won't win the title, she should at least have this.
MJF/Cole is great. I loved how the crowd was so into their bromance that they essentially bullied Cole into going along with it. Kinda feel like MJF is leaning into his ADHD for this "face" character.
Otherwise a mixed bag, but better than last week.
