Yeah, I'm giving another ten for this one, like Meltz giving out stars in the Tokyo Dome. Fantastic show.

We've gotta talk about that Swerve segment!

8.
Highlights: - That main event, and the right conclusion giving Shida her just rewards. - MJF promo, and a hell of a main event to look forward to in Wembley. - Three way was a chaotic sprint, great fun, and Parking Lot Brawl should be amazing. - Swerve being a truly detestable villain, Christian Cage crossed with Deadman Taker but better than that implies. - Also, the rainbow powder opening is so much cooler than anything that's come after, nice to see it back.
Lowlights: - I'm not nostalgic for ECW. Getting Walk was neat, but RVD's gonna be the same tired gimmick from the mid 90s but slower and less interesting. - I'm not nostalgic for TNA, with Planet Jarrett 2.0 being a similarly baffling relic.

A lot of Dynamite was definitely Not For Me. Some stuff in a major way. But there was still some good wrestling and the show looked SO much better than it has in forever. I went with a 7/10

I had it clocked in at 7.5 most of the night, but that ending rounded it to 8. Good stuff. Trent getting a win, swerve and ar fox getting some character/story shine and the hardcore triple threat were dope.
Regarding the women, look at how big time that felt. Tony and co should know “if you build it, they will come”. Hope they continue to put this kind of shine on the women. 8.

A rare 10 out of 10 or a perfect show, IMHO.

This one had everything I wanted. Great matches, great story advancement, a hot crowd, a women's main event, an underdog winning, and Swerve being evil.
10. This was AEW at it's finest.

I enjoyed the whole show but was genuinely emotional at Shida's win which I didn't see coming at all. Sometimes we can have nice things.

I'm also here to highlight swerve's heinous character development.

A very, very high 8.
This felt like a 2019 Dynamite and not just in the intro and entrance tunnels, there felt like a sense of both established stars and really oddball matches and moments that made that time so fascinating involving a start of a new company. The clash of styles between Aussie Open and Kommander/Vikingo, the chaotic plunder brawl, the very fun tag match, the women knocking blocks out of each other and a couple of surprises. It didn't have the new car smell that era had but it's nice to have that feeling back even for a night.
There was still camerawork problems but I will say, nowhere near as much as there usually can be so hopefully that improves but it still knocks it down slightly from a 9 but yeah, really fun show overall.

8/10.
Enjoyed seeing Rob Van Dam, the MJF/Cole segment and Swerve & AR Fox's attack on Nick.
I tuned out after that as I didn't care about the ROH tag title match.

Made an appreciation thread on it, that match is very worth your time, they did shit I've never seen before

This was a great episode of Dynamite, especially the in-ring action. The Swerve video angle was also amazing, as was the Dynamite highlights video package introduced by TK. And we have a match for All In!! And Shida's title win in front of a packed crowd was so cool.
The Jack Perry/ECW and JAS implosion stuff doesn't really grab me at all (even though it was sick to hear 'Walk' for RVD), so I will refrain from breaking out the perfect score-
9/10

Upon further reflection, I think "very high" 8 is where I'm at. That tag match was REALLY good.

7. A bunch of stuff I couldn't care less about (the three way, the ROH match, the Elite match, the shambling carcass of RVD), a decent main event women's title match (but very paint-by-numbers until Shida won, unfortunately), and some actually good stuff (everything MJF/Cole and Swerve as usual).

10, a near perfect wrestling show tbh.
In ring it was great, nothing underdelivered, the three way was insane and it was a nice surprise to see Trent win, ROH tag title match was great, main event was excellent, Elite match was loads of fun, I always enjoy the overbooked Jarrett & co matches and the opener was good as well. Outside the ring I thought it was one of their stronger shows too. MJF/Cole was great as always, especially the little hints at either of them possibly turning, as was Roddy absolutely losing his shit backstage. RVD showing up was done as well as possible, crowd was hot for him and it was awesome hearing Walk again, always been a big RVD mark so was happy all round with that. The video package Tony introduced was fantastic and Shida's celebration after winning the title was great, she seemed genuinely emotional and it was awesome to see her finally get her moment in front of fans. Maybe the standout though for out of the ring was the Swerve/AR Fox/Nick Wayne stuff at the Academy, made Fox look like a total killer, hard to believe it's even the same guy to what he'd been portraying before now, think he'll be awesome in his new role. Loads of other little bits I loved too, Kenny bidding adieu for the first time on TV in a while, Cutler being on TV for the first time in ages, bringing back the old set, Jack Perry hiding behind a child, announcing a Parking Lot Fight (I've wanted another one of those from the moment I watched the first one) and more I'm sure I'm forgetting.
Fantastic show, really well paced, wasn't a single thing on it that I didn't like and we got the most interesting match they can book right now pencilled in as the main event for their biggest ever show. Great stuff all round.
