Correct me if I’m remembering anything wrong: Disco Inferno vs The Giant. Giant stands in the corner smoking a cigarette, disco rushes at him, giant raises a big boot. Then puts his foot on disco’s chest for the count without ever dropping his smoke.

He tried to legit break Angle’s arm. He kinda had it coming. I almost imagine it played a part in them signing Miz, as an acknowledgement they picked the wrong guy. No, he didn't "have it coming". The 'contest' with Angle was promoted as legit, with him going in there and throwing them around. It was not stated to the contestants in any way that there were any limits going on. Any guy with an MMA background who is put in that situation with those circumstances would attempt the same thing given that WWE was telling them to see if they could beat Kurt. If anyone is to blame, it's WWE for promoting such a stupid situation and provoking two intense personalities. And if they wanted to punish him, they could have done something without any guys going out there and taking liberties in the ring. I'm sorry....that's just disgusting any way you spin it. I don't care if they protected him...abuse is abuse. Nonetheless, Daniel Puder was an awful performer and a bad fit for WWE. If they wanted to have control over who won, don't ever give the audience the option to pick the winner. Just stupid all around.

Gotta go with Butterbean destroying Bart Gunn at WrestleMania 15. Probably the only entertaining thing to come out of the “Brawl For All”.

Butcher and the Blade made an absolute show of wrecking Fuego and Low Rida here. One of my favorite DARK matches.

I don't care if they protected him...abuse is abuse. Nonetheless, Daniel Puder was an awful performer and a bad fit for WWE. If they wanted to have control over who won, don't ever give the audience the option to pick the winner. Just stupid all around. Not gonna defend what they did to him. But the contest was an amateur wrestling match not an MMA fight. So throwing an Armbar on was in fact illegal.

Chris Nawrocki won the squats contest, and Kurt Angle rewarded him with what he said was his 'first match'. After Angle beat him up, he asked who wanted to get in the ring. Puder raised his hand and Angle told Puder to get in the ring. Nothing was ever said about what kind of match it was.

All the same, the dummy immediately put his shoulders on the mat and pinned himself.

All the same, the dummy immediately put his shoulders on the mat and pinned himself. Yeah, how stupid of the person with no pro wrestling experience lose an impromptu match where your opponent is shooting on you.

It has nothing to do with pro wrestling, everyone involved was an ass. Angle shouldn't have been out there wrestling random rookies, Puder shouldn't have done a dirty, illegal move, and he shouldn't have had the shit kicked out of him in the Royal Rumble.

He knew it was a shoot match also. This wasn’t a shock.

It was an amateur match, they did say those were the rules. It has nothing to do with pro wrestling, everyone involved was an ass. Go back and watch the segment, at no point do they say it's an amateur match. That's a retroactive thing that they say now in order to justify what was done to Puder. I'm not saying this as a Puder fan. I can't stand the guy. But this is entirely on WWE in terms of everything that happened. He was an MMA fighter and volunteered. He knew it was a shoot match also. This wasn’t a shock. And? Again, they never stated what could and could not happen in the match. Puder did exactly what he assumed he could do. This was company negligence through and through and pointing fingers at the rookie who is literally not being told anything about what he can and cannot do is ridiculous.

The four that immediately pop up:
Kushida having a massive FAFO moment against Hiromu Takahashi
"Oh, I'm sorry! Was that not how that was supposed to go?" (Mox/Punk)
Brodie destroying Cody, and then Dark Order taking out the whole Nightmare Family
Rainmaker Shock was not really a squash, but Okada beat the hell out of Tanahashi

Colin Delaney getting wrecked week after week in WWECW by monster wrestlers, made even funnier by Taz's gleeful reactions when he would introduce whoever it was that would be beating him up next
