All in all, I have to give it a 7.
It was clear that a LOT changed in the booking considering ol Phil had to show his whole ass, and as a personal preference, I really hate shows where the heels win seemingly every big and major match. Just kinda sours my mood.
Still, it was a "back against the wall" kind of show, and AEW at least gave us a 7, so I won't complain too much

Didn't see it but might watch it sometime later, sounds like a good show.

Enjoyed this a lot more than All In. Potential career defining performances from Takeshita and Starks
And the crowd taking over the whole show

Exceeded every single expectation
I still don't know if I like the idea of these PPVs being so close together every year but you can't argue with the results at least this year
Absolute star making night for multiple people, just a fun show

Easy 9, good shit. Wasn't really disappointed by anything on the show. Happy to see Danielson back, give me more Miro versus Hobbs please, OC had a hell of a main event performance.
Crowd wasn't nearly as trollish as I expected, that was a plus too.

4.
Tag match was good, strap match was very good, main event was good until the ending, everything else was dispiriting.

It was an 8 or a 9 for me before the main event, but. Man. Man that main event. The everything. I don't know. It moved me in a way where I have to give it a 10, that match was spectacular and felt like it was about more than just the title. Got me sentimental. Amazing show.

9. Incredible show.
Takeshita/Omega is my favorite AEW match this year.
Mox/OC and Bryan/Ricky were incredible. Miro/Hobbs was all you could ask for from a hoss battle.
Everything else was at least fun or watchable. A vibe reset for the company.

There was a debate before the weekend on if All Out would be better than Payback given the build to the show and the perception of the card
...
Don't think there's a debate now and I didn't even dislike Payback

4. Tag match was good, strap match was very good, main event was good until the ending, everything else was dispiriting. Sometimes heels need to win or storylines can't advance onward All In was full of face wins, there has to be some pushback or your heels can't be taken seriously ever.

Once again, when AEW is pushed against the wall, they deliver an all-timer of a show. And this was one of them. Three legit 5* matches. Worth every penny of my $50.

A very strong 8. Cassidy/Moxley was the draw for me and it didn't disappoint, and Moxley himself reined in a lot of his worst impulses. Cassidy looks strong in defeat, and I can see a world title win in his future. Miro/Hobbs surprised. The Elite took the L once again, so they show they're team players to any of the doubters. I liked the mixing of spots between FTR and Bucks members throughout the match. I'm still really high on White/Robinson, so I'm happy to see them get the win. Danielson and Starks was very good in a kind of rushed angle between the two to get to the match. Starks never submitted, so there's potential to keep heat on him. I'm just happy to have Danielson back. Loved the tease of MJF and Joe. Christian is one of the best heels in the company.
I just wish the matches were shorter or there were fewer matches on the card. 5 hours is a slog to get through. Would have liked to seen better opponents for MJF and Cole than the Dark Order too. And I miss Jade Cargill.

Except it felt like heels won and ended the stories unhappily. I doubt OC is beating Moxley to get that belt back. I don’t have the numbers in front of me, but it sure feels like Kenny loses too much and Moxley never does. And I know from downer PPVs, I spent $80 on a ticket to Armageddon 2003.

Moxley is kept strong but he is also a company ace, someone will have to beat him for that belt Kenny and Takeshita isn't anywhere close to over, and the story is Omega hasn't won a big singles match in some time

9/10:
Miro vs. Hobbs, the Eight Man Tag, Omega vs. Takeshita, and Moxley vs. OC were all fantastic.
Joe vs. Shane and Statlander vs. Ruby were both very good. But FFS can Ruby PLEASE win a big match soon, jeez.
Lana/CJ appearing was a fun surprise.
