We're about to enter Season 3 of the hit FAN series, Days Of Our Punk
In Season 2, CM Punk returned to AEW after The Brawl Out that happened in Season 1, however, he made a lot of enemies, sent people home, and in the Season 2 finale, he got fired from AEW
In Season 3, Punk is going to return to a very familiar place, will it go well? or will it go like the last 2 seasons? find out in Season 3 of.....Days...Of....Our......Punk!

This is a perfect example of “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”
Both Punk and WWE would love nothing more than to stick it to AEW. Just to rub their noses in it, they would book Rollins and Punk because of Rollins on record calling him a cancer and to stay away.
It just books itself and that’s textbook WWE for you. And Khan would be beside him too.

Sure, CM Punk is mad about the Bucks allegedly talking to journalists but he has no problems with "sources close to him" (read: Larry) doing it.

After the merger, it makes total sense to bring in UFC legend CM Punk.

Considering alot of top guys in WWE do not want him back AND with Seths contract supposedly coming up next year.
Sure you wanna try this WWE? I know Seth is gonna be professional but I cannot imagine it not affecting Seth in those negotiations...and if Seth goes maybe this trickles down to Becky as well.
There is alot of preverbial dominos that could fall just bringing back the muffin man.

Vince may have been able to overrule Fox in 2019 when he refused to bring him back but his say isn't the be all end all anymore. If Endeavor/TKO want Punk then it'll probably happen.
I don't see there being any middle ground. If Punk returns it's either a massive success or a huge disaster.
A) He returns, gets a great reaction, does good business, doesn't get into any fights backstage, wrestles for a year or two then has a nice retirement.
B) He returns, no issues briefly, someone says something he doesn't like in a promo, he flies off the handle and we get all the same stuff that plagued his final year in AEW.

Are we taking bets onto who’s the first person that Punk tries to fight backstage is ?

I think this has been covered to death but ok, I’ll answer it briefly. The root of the issue IMO is TK not being a leader and properly directing his talent. He prides himself on letting all his talent have such creative freedom that it’s been to the company’s detriment. If TK had managed them the right way, none of the talents would be going into business for themselves on live television. This kinda order would’ve prevented the Hangman/Punk debacle, which led to so many other events. The blame comes from the top, as it almost always does. Punk did some bad shit but when you don’t lead and you let the inmates run the asylum, what do you expect will happen? So anyway, yeah, that’s how they’ll stick it to AEW, since they run a tight ship and they’ll show them how to draw money with real life heat. For the record though, I’m not rooting for him to return whatsoever. Whether it’s in WWE or AEW, he IS a locker room cancer. But WWE managed it and got 10 years out of him and AEW couldn’t even get 2 🤷🏻♂️

Gotta wonder how much of this is the pro-Punk wrestling media trying to will this in to existence.
If WWE wants to splash the cash for big signings next year, maybe dont pick the guy who just pissed off many of the people you allegedly want to sign next year!

I really don't want him back in WWE or anywhere really. But if it absolutely HAS to happen, then merch/games, a short run and a HOF induction is at least something I can understand. He gets closure with his WWE issues and leaves wrestling on better terms

Boozer on Twitter has been talking about the possibility of Punk coming in for weeks and has said it could happen quickly. He also said it’s not a done deal yet.

If he comes back humbled and like a normal human being, I think he's actually a pretty valuable asset for the wrestling and the merch. If he's just going to pull the same shit he pulled in AEW, stay the f*** away. My sneaking suspicion is he's probably a little more game to play ball, but we'll see. And there you have why it won't work.
Punk can't go two minutes without acting like an asshole like normal human beings.

But WWE managed it and got 10 years out of him and AEW couldn’t even get 2 🤷🏻♂️ Which assumes that Punk is in the same frame of mind he was during his WWE run, and I don't think that's the case. I think eating shit at MMA, failing to really find that crossover mainstream star juice, and festering at home led to a lot of insecurity and escalation. He isn't just getting into arguments, he had violent outbursts, and as far as Tony leading talent, he's said to have locked Punk down on tons of contractual limitations for his return that he completely set on fire. I think if he does return to WWE he's not going to be nearly as 'well behaved' as he was on his first go around. Tony did some shit wrong but there seems like a good chance to me Punk's going to prove his behavior wasn't just Tony running a sloppy ship, he's just not well. But also nah, whatever TK did, Punk's actions were beyond the pale and way past dumbass stunts and politics. Dude had a violent outburst that led to the boss himself almost getting hurt, that's way beyond anything you can say WWE can show up Tony on. If someone is violent around 'some people' you're not sticking it to them by showing that that person won't be violent around you.

There is absoloutley nothing preventing him from having similar blow ups if not worse in WWE.
And considering all the shit he did after TK pretty much gave him world is proof enough that there is no concession good enough to prevent it in WWE either , someone is gonna say something so trivial to most people but will make the muffin man fly off at the f***ing handle.
This is not a matter of IF it will happen because everyone knows by now it will just a matter of how long it takes.
