Idk if he signed a contract or not, but if he is holding the title For this long I don’t see him not being signed past 2024

His tune’s changed a lot in the last few months. He seems to cry out being AEW 4 life. I say 70/30 he stays.

I'm not sure if he signed for more time when he got the raise after his absence, but I feel like he did and the 2024 stuff is entirely storyline at this point that I'm not even sure will be a big thing with him as a face now. (Watch me be immediately proven wrong on all of this)

I think he will, I think he'll take an extended leave after losing the title in December but return for a big pop

Honestly would be kinda shit if he didn't. He basically got to walk right into a year long title reign after sitting out for months for more cash or whatever and has been given probably the easiest champ conditions of every main champ besides injured CM Punk who barely counts. He's done great with it after a rough start, just saying he was given everything he ever could have wanted.

I’d be shocked if he didn’t sign an extension before he won the title.

I'm fairly sure he's already signed last year and the 2024 stuff is just a work

He will probably stay, yeah, though I do think the "loses title, takes break, comes back to pop" thing isn't entirely out there, be it as a break or like to film projects, etc, before returning.
Unless he wanted to go to WWE as some bucket list item, I don't really know what any other company could give him that would be worth walking for. Money's money, so sure, WWE *could* throw a lot at him, and likely would give him a handsome offer, but even in AEW, if the issue was "fresh opponents", there's still honestly a lot of matches on the table for him due to how MJF's booking has him so selectively used.

I’d be stunned if he left.

I think he’s already signed. Tony Khan would have to be an idiot to push him so hard and give him such a long title reign if he hasn’t signed a new deal.

I'm afraid that if he doesn't stay it would make AEW really weak and second rate. The whole CM Punk debacle, Cody and now losing their top star would be a nail in the coffin of the company and IF that happened I could see Impact outlive them.

I'd be staggered otherwise, I think he's absolutely going stay to AEW. 100%.

I'm fairly sure he's already signed last year and the 2024 stuff is just a work Same. Like, if he did leave, it'd be a blow but at this point, that's how these things are going to be. People are going to get signed to other places for good money, that's how things should be. Kevin Owens wasn't going to face Steve Austin at one of the main events of WrestleMania if AEW wasn't a thing and you'd be kidding yourself if you thought otherwise. But I also think considering the rise in matches, there's almost zero chance he hasn't already signed and this isn't going to be a big reveal for near the end of the year or something.

I honestly feel like he's even kind of alluded to the fact that he's re-signed in some of his post-show promos. I distinctly remember him dropping a kind of tongue-in-cheek "Tony Khan has made me a very rich man" line in one of those promos a couple of months ago.

I would be very surprised if he left AEW now as he's over like crazy now that he's turned face.

I think on-air and off-air even his stance is to say that he was given a big raise to come back but without having added any time to his deal. In reality, I’m assuming he did sign an extension.

In kayfabe it was established that Tony gave MJF the extra money on his deal to get him to come back. In reality, I'd be very surprised if he hasn't already signed. Edit: didn't read the response above mine!

The bidding war of 2024 was just heel schtick. I think he's signed a new deal.
I can see MJF making the jump to WWE at some point, but not now. I can't see WWE offering him anything better than AEW can at this point in his career and he's still got a lot of years ahead of him to jump.

Yes. Whatever gets said is fine, but there's a decent chance that WWE sends him to NXT and then tries to make him a manager.
