Couple of things I liked about the segment in addition to that line:

1. The way Christian stood across from Adam was very well done. Just how he held the title, and turned his head, it was calculated, poised, and looked great on camera.

2. I was waiting for Christian to knee him in the balls after he said it. But there's always time for that I suppose.

I've never been a Christian fan, but goddam is this run making me legitimately like the guy for the first time.

I guess they didn’t want Copeland’s first Dynamite to end with a heel heat beatdown segment since last night we had BC Gold beating up MJF and the Callis Family beating up Kenny and Jericho.

I stopped watching AEW after All In, Edge being signed is making it tricky. However, I am pleased to remember that their matches in 2001 weren't really up to much. I know it's literally two decades since then and they're vastly different talents, but I guess we'll see.

When it does finally get to them teaming up again, though... that's gonna be tough to resist

Like, beatdowns can come from a place of anger and lashing out and even with Christian’s character, it could be interpreted as him thinking “How dare you ask me that after all this time?” or “You think you’re so high and mighty using our history for your own means?”, stuff like that.

I don’t think you can misinterpret anything from the words “Go F*** Yourself”.

It's really weird that the recorded version on Fite ends a couple of minutes early though. The live version was fine. I guess it's revenge for not having the audio problems that other feeds did, lmao

My work colleague just watched it and told me the same thing. It honestly is super weird especially since people either pay for it individually or pay for a subscription.

So good, always enjoy an occasional F bomb in wrestling to make things feel more intense. Adam's promo itself was excellent too, you can hear the excitement in his voice at doing something totally new and it's so endearing, really can't wait to see where this all goes.

I watched it live on Fite and it was all there. I just checked the recorded version and it cuts just as Christian takes the mic. Presumably, the archiving of the shows is an automated process and maybe it just isn't set up for/expecting such a long overrun? The show went for an extra 8 to 10 minutes so I can see why that might cause problems on an automated system that's used to the show only lasting two hours (give or take a couple of minutes)

I have a feeling this storyline is going to go in a direction of Christian being irritated that, after years of being second fiddle (or, in wrestling terms "the Jannetty") in WWE he found his footing outside of WWE and became a bona fide star. And now, past his prime and nearing the end of his career, Edge is encroaching on "his" territory and trying to steal "his" spotlight. 

It's almost justified for Christian to tell him to go f*** himself, since he essentially asked him to stop everything he's been doing for nearly 3 years on a dime and go back to being the "lesser" part of a tag team, but Christian was a complete sociopath dick about it. I think that's part of what's made him such a great heel in this run. This storyline is going to be really good.

The other thing is that a key reason why Copeland wants to form the team is that he realizes they're both close to done. Both came off supposedly career ending injuries, both able to come back in grand fashion and remind people why they're such influential talents, both going in separate directions after 2021 when it felt all but sure they were going to team up again, now one guy is just ready to have one last go around with his (probably former for now) best friend and the other is, as described by someone on Twitter which I'm blatantly going to steal, so high on his own supply that he doesn't realize it yet. Especially when he can say he's won two more singles titles than Copeland has since returning and didn't get kicked out of a group he formed.

I'm selfishly glad he hasn't because then wrestling wouldn't have him, but I'm honestly surprised Christian hasn't done acting gigs. He's got that Tim Curry natural bad guy energy.

Incidentally the last time I remember this happening was when Kenny Omega and the Elite were beating up….Christian.
