(Because WWE has been the land of sunshine and rainbows for too long)
Putting aside the snap reactions of “HUR HUR MISERY BOOKING” for a sec, I’m intrigued. Not necessarily frothing at the mouth to see it, more in the sense of what all these long-running feuds are leading to (presumably WarGames at Survivor Series).
I think they think they’ve created something big in all this, like Avengers Endgame or some shit, except Part 1 didn’t go for three years first. The night is darkest before the dawn, now all the babyfaces have to assemble to take on the two biggest dominating factions, united, the company has seen in years. The crowds may very well react to it as such through the sheer number of over babyfaces that could be involved here (Rhodes? Cena? Jey? Owens and Zayn? Knight? Styles?) as well as the “cool heel” supergroup they oppose. Meanwhile we’re just like “I just want a babyface champion that is nice and defends the belt regularly”. 🤪🤪🤪
I don’t think this is gonna be the end of the two groups (we all know that everything else important has to happen at Rumble or WM), but it might be the beginning of the end. Or at least the end of the beginning, or some other beginning’s end. I don’t know, the fatigue is real regardless.

Love that we're getting a NEW SEASON of Smackdown next week where the same thing that's been happening for three plus years is going to continue happening
Feels so fresh and exciting lol

Bloodline and Judgment Day are probably about to be officially in cahoots for the foreseeable.

Nothing in the world can ever make me interested in the Bloodline at this point, and Judgment Day's rapidly dropping in entertainment value themselves between JD and overexposure, but I'm guessing this is just for the purposes of WarGames so it's hard to be that annoyed by it.

The problem with 'a babyface champion that is nice and defends the belt regularly' is that it's a formula that can easily get boring. Seth's been doing some good work but even the championship isn't making his story feel like the most important on Raw, and we saw with Bianca's long reign that it felt like it ran out of steam after Summerslam due to the lack of compelling storylines even if some of the PLE matches were good.
Plus this current alliance is interesting, especially as they have a good group of over faces to work against them. It's also of note how strongly this week they've been pushing who's the real leader of Judgment Day, and how that ties into some of the other storylines going on. You probably don't get Rhea telling Paul "Acknowledge me" without Jey Uso calling her the new Tribal Chief on Raw.

don’t like it, JD’s whole thing is having each others backs and actually coming off as a family even if there is a good bit of strife currently

It's brilliant.
Having 2 strong heel factions actually means we have insanely over faces like Cody, Cena, Jey and Knight getting massive crowd reactions!
Tht's even without Roman being there and no KO & Sami who are both massively popular in their own right.
Also, whisper it quietly, but heel loser Jimmy Uso is so f***ing entertaining!

I imagine they are doing this so they can have some of the Judgment Day (Priest/Balor) team with the Bloodline in a Survivor Series/War Games match. I would have just used all of Judgment Day including JD vs. a group of good guys and have the Bloodline do something else. They have done both 4 vs 4 and 5 vs 5 War Games and Survivor Series matches before.

It was a pretty awesome ending to Smackdown, and the crowd is seemingly very into seeing the superface team together.
Cena, Knight, Cody, Jey and maybe add Orton in there if he’s ready to come back against Roman, Solo, Jimmy, Priest and Balor in War Games is my current guess (though I assume you can swap out Cena and Orton if that’s not possible for KO/Sami).

Honestly it just strikes me of the old Vinceism of sticking the golden boy with the new hot act to try and transfer heat.

The SAG Strike is probably still going to be happening come November, so Cena will still be there, from what it sounded like, Orton had fusion surgery on his L5 and it will be a miracle if he comes back from that.
