Red Sox outfielder Tyler O'Neill has homered in his record 5th straight Opening Day game.

Opening Day notes
- Angels look like shit - Rockies look like shit - Skubal, Pablo Lopez and Bieber looked lights out - Pablo Sandoval, Alex Wood, and Kyle Freeland looked like they shouldn't be pitching at all - Crochet deserved better than what the White Sox gave them - Watching Eflin collapse hurt my Phillies heart - A's opener looked like the pandemic era, they have really crushed this team into the dust, and that's not even including them getting their asses kicked - Fun to watch two extra inning games on the first official day of the year - The Cardinals are gonna be a dumpster fire this year but the injuries haven't helped, what a terrible first series draw to get the Dodgers... - The Cubs potentially losing Steele for a bit (Already on the IL) is really bad because they already lost Taillon. Might be time to sign one of those free agents... - The Orioles and Diamondbacks looked insanely good, but they also did the equivalent of that Always Sunny scene where they beat up kids - LOL Astros and Giants, just doing the LOL Giants because Daley isn't here but woof they blew that game - Expected more from the Rays and Mariners, Opening Day of course so this doesn't actually matter just shocked they both got so outmatched day one at home - There are some really exciting new rookies in the league this year so far and it'll be cool to watch them play and develop as the season goes on.
I am sad the Phillies got rained out but given we have to face Spencer Strider I'm still not looking entirely forward to it, here's hoping lol

Mets get 1 Hit on opening day fire Boone. But they usually win on opening day and disappoint later. Hopefully this is a reverse scenario

Mets' offense picking right back up where it left off in Spring Training...also some vintage late-inning Mets hitting, where you get the tying run on and immediately hit into two weak, useless outs, only make good contact when there are two outs, and have that contact inevitably caught on a nice play.
That may sound oddly specific, but it's become an absurdly common sight.

MLB's local market and media blackout rules f***ing suck by the way. At least when NFL games are on streaming, they make sure the local markets always get the games on free TV. Second goddamned game of the season is only on Apple TV of all f***ing things.

Well after a horrible Knick lose, this is what I needed to cheer me up, the Yankees destroying the Astros. But like I said yesterday, beating the Astros, that is nothing new, that has happened, have to do it in the playoffs.

Wheeler was great Hoffman was great Marsh cracked one But the "MLB dot com number one ranked bullpen" got shelled Been the teams problem for years, they don't address it, and the one guy they just signed to an extension in Strahm blew the game (And Rob left him in way too long) I know Brogdon was only there as a fill-in but they just gotta cut bait with that guy, he is beyond cooked.
