So this will beat Bash In Berlin to the punch as WWE's first mainland European PPV. They’ll also be hosting the go-home SmackDown the night before.

Another international ppv on top of what's already been announced. Yeah, Cena floating Mania in London wasn't them blowing smoke, we're getting a London Mania in a few years.

HHH & Co are just killing it now. Vince used to make Backlash this boring retread of Mania. With Puerto Rico and now this, WWE is establishing Backlash as one of the biggest PLE’s to watch each year. Great stuff, can’t wait.

Next year’s PPV itinerary to start the year currently goes: Tampa 🇺🇸 (Rumble) Perth 🇦🇺 (Chamber) Philadelphia 🇺🇸 (WM40) Lyon 🇫🇷 (Backlash) Riyadh/Jeddah 🇸🇦 (Saudi PPV #1 for the year, they usually do one around May/June) And then there’s Berlin locked in later in the year.

Great stuff, can’t wait. Taking the b-tier PPVs to international markets is giving them a lot of needed sizzle. Just compare and contrast to how blasé people were about Fastlane, which stayed in the US.

It's a direction WWE was beginning to tread in more and more, and clearly Triple H has shown an interest in it, but I'm sure Endeavor's ownership has amped up a lot of those organizing efforts. The UFC is a lot more international than WWE tends to be and that includes major cards.

What a run to start the year
Royal Rumble - Tampa Elimination Chamber - Perth, Australia Wrestlemania - Philadelphia Backlash - Lyon, France
Add to that a likelyhood of NXT shows in early Feb and March plus Stand and Deliver on the morning of Mania weekend

And the massive success of Money in the Bank (which is an A-tier ppv) showed WWE that international versions of their big 5 shows (Rumble, Mania, MitB, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series) can be done.

We have to see them show up in France at least once, especially since Puerto Rico got Savio and Carlito lol

It's good to see they're finally embracing the "world" part of WWE.
It's always interesting to see how fans that haven't had much chance to see these big cards live react when compared to more jaded American crowds.
Hell it's almost tempting to get the Eurostar over, but in a 16,000 arena tickets will almost certainly be pricey and snapped up quickly.

But will the French government want Andre the Giant on the show like the Saudis originally wanted Yokozuna?

Unless they see what the weather is usually like in the UK in early April, and then find out the roof doesn’t cover the pitch.

Having the WWE Network working doesn’t hurt either.

Considering how hard MITB tickets were to get this year I’m probably not going to try. MITB was one of the most enjoyable shows of the year anyways so looking forward to the France, Germany & Australia shows next year

Would putting an I Quit Match on the card get too much heat in France?
As someone of French descent, I'm allowed to make that joke.

This is the show where I would have Roman drop the title to Baron Corbin.
