Gotta be the weakest card to date. It’s weird there’s no elite guys on it too. On topic, ima laugh my ass off if MJF retains Everyone said that about All Out this year, myself included, and it ended up being one of their best ever shows. Full Gear meanwhile looked like maybe their strongest ever PPV card and yet ended up being probably their 6th best PPV of the year. People were sceptical about Revolution, about it not having enough standout matches, not having a good enough build etc and again it was an incredible show. They deliver way more often than not, regardless of what the card looks like. MJF/Joe was, IMO, fantastic at Grand Slam and I'd expect Miro/Andrade and Keith/Swerve could put on pretty great matches, those 3 plus those you mentioned is 5 potential 4*+ matches on a currently 8 match card. Not sure what to expect from either women's match, but I'd be surprised if the 8 man isn't a very good match too. Assume there's a good chance they add FTR/HOB in some form as well, which would be unlikely to underdeliver. If you want the reason why All Out was so good, it was because Jericho flat out wasn't on it and MJF shenanigans were confined to the opener in a throwaway tag titles match that everyone moved on from immediately. That isn't the case with this PPV, and MJF doing another injury angle then coming out on top again seems increasingly likely.

To me, it feels like revealing that on the go-home show is an attempt to stack the deck further against MJF to make him more of an underdog heading into a match that he ultimately wins. This Max shit is starting to make Cena blush.

I'll be there and I must admit that as it stands, the card doesn't have me super pumped. I know it'll probably deliver like most AEW PPVs, but I could see this being closer to Double or Nothing 2023 than All Out. Not BAD, but not a standout. We'll see!

Tbh MJF was in the main event doing shenanigans literally the week before in a PPV I preferred and was there live for, where he was easily the most over person on the whole show, so you'll have a hard time getting an agreement out of me on that front. All Out was so good because it had loads of f***ing great matches, a couple of which took people off guard like Miro/Hobbs, not really buying it was because one guy in Jericho wasn't on the show or anything like that. WrestleDream was amazing and Jericho was on that, in a multi man match, just like he'll be for this one.

If the PPV is bad, I don't think it's on him.

Tony Khan basically said without outright saying it that we're going to find out who the Devil is at the PPV.

Feels like more matches than usual that feel more like Collision/Dynamite undercard matches than epic AEW PPV matches. Looking at the 8-man tag match, Miro-Andrade, Swerve-Lee, and both women’s matches.
Doesn’t mean the matches can’t deliver as far as match quality, but they do feel less important than you’d imagine. Maybe this is just a side effect of the more frequent PPV schedule.

The former is a long time coming with a good amount of history behind it and the latter is a built world title match involving two of the most over women on the roster.

Unfortunately they stopped building that story months ago, pushed Swerve to where people want him main eventing and then randomly went back to this match on a few days’ notice in a less prominent spot than people want Swerve to be. And the “build” for Riho -Toni was Riho just randomly showing up after a match and chasing off Toni. Feels more like a challenger of the month situation than it does a well-built feud.

I don't have issue with Swerve/Keith Lee here. They need to keep Swerve on tv and this is best option and obviously better then him not being on the show at all. I'm sure they would have done the Keith Lee match earlier but for Keith's health issues

If Joe loses, which will probably happen, it'll get his spot next to Goto in The Hall of Shame.

I'm hyped for one single reason. No matter how the card does. Or who's on the card.
We are getting a non WWE PPV in December again, feels like old times with WCW.

Much as I love Toni, these days it feels like the gimmick makes her matches less good because she's playing up to the gimmick so much. It'd be great to see Toni/Riho have a great match that Toni only just wins.

Definitely feels like a weaker than average card by AEW PPV standards.
Mox-Kingston isn't the CC final I'd have booked, but it's got the backstory, the emotional weight and should be beautifully violent.
I'm sure the world title match will deliver. And even though I've never really been a big fan of Edge matches, I'm always excited to just see Christian act the dickhead.
The rest of the card though? Leaves me pretty cold. But, we know AEW PPVs practically always deliver on the night.
