So far, he's got a 141 and 2/3's chance of winning this poll as Big Poppa Pump, and this will spell disaster for us at Sacrifice....

Big Poppa Pump will be always who Scott is on an individual level.
Pre-BPP Steiner never had appeal as a Singles. Rick was the one they always talked up as a Main Event singles. Scott wasn't.
He was a great Main Event Heel in WCW 2000 and if he had been in the WWF in that era as Big Poppa Pump, he would have been a great Heel for Rock, Austin or Taker.
By 2003, he was beaten up and WWE tried shoehorning him in as a babyface when Scott's strength was being a brutal heel.

My brain knows that he was doing awesome power/athletic moves in tag team action.
it also knows that he was a legit superstar when he hit main events in WCW.
but manā¦heās Steiner Math, Hailing from Dunkin Donuts, Heās Fat! to me completely now. Itās his own fault for being far too entertaining in TNA. At that stage of his career he mastered the upper mid card gatekeeper heel role. He would talk a big game and convince you he was going to kill his opponent. Then heād go out and sell for everyone, lose all the time, and take a clean fall. But as soon as he cut his next promo he convinced you he was going to kill his opponent again. Itās a rare talent. And he doesnāt get enough credit for it tbh. He was great at building interest and then worked his ass off to get everyone else over in that run. All while never losing his intimidation charismaā¦and adding flat out hilarious stuff to his resume to boot.
