i actually think dumping the butch character is a mistake lol. He was a tough scrappy bastard that had character to him. Brusierweight Pete Dunne imo is just "very good pro wrestler #783"

Brusierweight Pete Dunne imo is just "very good pro wrestler #783" The first impression is usually what hurts these things. And when that involves what was a change into a completely new character with no storyline build, with a new outfit that made him look like a cockney paperboy and making him act like a bigger version of Hornswoggle, all of which was reinforcing negative sentiment about the main roster creative structure of the time… Getting it over to us would be like trying to push the Indiana Jones giant boulder up Mt. Everest.

Angel and Humberto not having last names still. I still really hate "Angel" as a dude's singular name it just sounds weird lol It would be better if it wasn't anglicised and was pronounced "an-hel".

Yeah, I just think of Handsome Jack's daughter from the Borderlands series or one-half of Da Baldies from the original ECW when it's just "Angel".

Well, they still haven't rehired The IIconics but it doesn't help that they keep getting pregnant. Unheralded name one... I want "Otis Dozovic" back. It feels odd that he's the only guy in his stable that doesn't get to have a full name. It’s kind of a tough name to spell and pronounce, this one isn’t that bad. Shotzi should get Blackheart back. I dunno, give him a bulldozer nickname, really emphasise it and it'd all follow nicely. Otis "Bull" Dozovic has a lot of potential for a big guy name.

Everest. Couldn't have put it better myself. I think "Butch" would've been received very differently if he was a blank state, as opposed to someone we all saw come up in NXT and knew deserved so much better than slightly taller Hornswoggle. On that same note, the "good wrestler who wrestles good" anti-gimmick has definitely had more misses than hits (remember the long string of flops whose only gimmick was black trunks and being intense?), but the threat of that goes by the wayside when they come by it honest. The Brusierweight isn't just a good wrestler who wrestles good, he's a well established badass who holds one of the longest NXT UK Heavyweight Championship reigns in that title's short but memorable history.

Probably too late now, and debatable and possibly not possible:
Going back to being World Wrestling Federation.

Probably too late now, and debatable and possibly not possible: Going back to being World Wrestling Federation. in just over a year the WWE name/branding will have been in use longer than WWF was. WWWF changed to WWF in 1979 and WWE in May 2002, that's 23 years. 2002 was 22 years ago.
