The rankings only counting for world titles is fine.
There's still weirdness though. Why do aew allow eliminator matches for those belts? Or why are there no 1 contender matches to a belt with an open challenge?
The lack or consistent identity for the three mens midcard title is a particular problem. There's no rhyme or reason to why you'd challenge for one over the others.

Faces make the belts open challenge, heels have a tendency to make the belts harder to get to TNT is the station belt International can be defended anywhere, International Promotions have seen it defended in multiple countries Continental is a straight up no interference is allowed ever belt which does separate it, and you'll have to defend it in Continental Classics if you have it.

Are they going to release a new one of these then? Last one came out a week after ppv. That feels like a sensible time to release them. Once the dust as settled from a ppv.

I’m genuinely unsure if Swerve made it an open challenge or if we were just finding out his challenger tonight but Christian bypassing everyone is funny to me. It’ll probably be explained away as “well The Bucks are in charge so they gave it to Christian” but it’s funny to me how the rankings went from all the belts to the world title to “shut up, that’s why” in less than five months.

It hasn't been though, it's just when inmates run the asylum, they're not gonna care about it and send who they want at the world champion

The whole year it's been determined by the rankings and the week after TK is murdered and the Bucks take over, the rules changed. I think we've found a correlation!
Seriously though, that's the explanation. They did it to screw with Swerve after he bad mouthed them. TK probably would have had OC or Mox rated #1 but he's out.
