If anything, the punishment shouldn’t be “Lose the wrestling match”, it should be “Tiffany Stratton has been removed from the QOTR tournament for a disciplinary matter, thus she will be replaced by *insert wrestler here*”. Something that is part of the outcome of almost EVERY MATCH should not be presented as a punishment.

All that stuff is dumb and horrible, but it also doesn't mean she just stupidly posted something without hearing the audio. I mean, if she is liking some of the stuff you said, the evidence is there that she is an idiot, right? I mean its kinda hard to imagine that she posted it without hearing the audio considering she added in laughing and crying emojis. It’s certainly possible but I’m not sure why one logically flows from the other. Laughing at the slap itself could be the reason for the emojis.

Something that is part of the outcome of almost EVERY MATCH should not be presented as a punishment. I mean in theory, who would you even replace her with? There are a handful of women on Smackdown you could replace her with, but most of them are ice cold, and would likely be slotted in to lose to Bianca anyways. Also Tiffany losing that match would likely just be the beginning, because I feel like it would signal cooling her off massively until either the storm blows over, or WWE decides on what action they want to take (if any). I mean its kinda hard to imagine that she posted it without hearing the audio considering she added in laughing and crying emojis. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that posting crying and laughing emojis at slapping someone when that's her entire job, while not hearing the audio is quite a stretch. I hate this defense of "oh well she must not have heard the audio of the clip before posting it".

It will be interesting to see what they do tomorrow night, and whether they just crack on with whatever they originally had planned, whether they do pull her from the tournament, or pivot to a Bianca victory (if Tiffany was actually in line to win), I think the latter is most likely. I'm being facetious as she generally has been booked well, but if they do take her off TV for a while, or not have her win matches, then it's nothing really new as she already missed 5 weeks in and around Mania, and she hasn't won any of her last 4 TV matches stretching back to March 8th.
It doesn't look like it has blown up that much, albeit still not yet 48 hours and she hasn't since been on TV, or made a social media post, so it will be interesting to see the response after that, but there's very few reports if you search her name in Google News, just the likes of Sportskeeda who would literally post anything - like Maxine Dupri likes Tiffany's latest post etc., she was trending on Twitter yesterday, but it was only like 1,400 posts. Hopefully she clears the air with Jade, if there actually was any air that needed clearing, gets a warning (or even training if required) about her future social media usage, and then in a few weeks can just go about her business again. Regarding the lack of apology, it's possible that the WWE PR team told her not to post anything, for whatever reason.
Regarding her political leaning, I've been a huge fan for around a year now, will often be on her social media, and if I didn't have Twitter and see the occasional tweets from fan accounts saying she is, I'd genuinely have no idea who she supported as it certainly hasn't been obvious since she's become much bigger and popular, and it's pretty irrelevant anyway as I'd imagine more people than not within the WWE company will lean that way, and Trump is in fact the current odds on favourite to win the election, so there will be plenty others in the country who seemingly back him.

I mean, at the time of the slap, Jade had barely been touched at all in a WWE environment so it was a pretty notable and shocking moment, and Bianca's face was also a picture, so it is possible the sound was off and if you go onto the large reddit thread within squaredcircle most on there were mentioning it was initially on mute for them. I still think it's probably likely that she heard it, but we don't know for sure.

No acknowledgment of it by any of the parties and no mention of it by big Dave or Fightful indicates that it’s blown over.
A lot of how things like this are handled will depend on personal feelings: how well liked Tiffany is, how pissed off about it Jade is and so on and personal reactions can be unpredictable. Lars Sullivan and Gunner became persona non grata upon shitting the bed but I’ve never heard of any heat on Sara Logan for her dodgy posts (and I think Erik is into all that nonsense as well) and of course Road Dogg has posted racist stuff as well but is well liked enough for others to turn a blind eye - wrestling just isn’t like a normal place of employment.
Somewhat related but the reason Hunter has always passed on hiring Tessa Blanchard is more because of her unreliability than her past racist comments. She’s not one for the grind I feel.

I like her better in AEW, when she performs in WWE she really tones down the hard offense but maybe that is just the style they make her work with. She has chemistry with Toni in AEW but in NXT I thought her character work was just ok. I just wish she were a little more consistent.

Even though Tiffany has been the one highly speculated to win the Smackdown side of the bracket, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Jade end up taking it. Jade, much like Tiffy, has been penciled in for future success, so Jade going far in the QOTR or even winning it would definitely make sense. Also it's not like the overly projected winner is always the one to eventually get the win. Could be a big, blonde red herring with Tiffy.
I predict Jade/Tiffy will become the semi-final match. Now I just wonder whether Tiffy going over Bianca tonight would lead to this whole drama igniting again, even though the drama has mostly cooled off at the moment. It's like yokohamacpfc said, reactions to this type of stuff is very unpredictable.

PW Insider saying there's no backstage heat with upper management, so that's good.
I can see Bianca not being medically cleared as they are mentioning the injury in the match preview. The match was pulled from the Smackdown preview but then later re-added again, many think because a lot were speculating on Tiffany potentially being suspended, but it might have been because it was not going to happen, so they've added it again to quell rumours, and they might have some sort of backstage segment with Aldis. This way would save Bianca a loss, avoid the Jade match early, buy them some time, and not risk potential backlash if Tiffany was to go over.

When I first saw the bracket my prediction was Jade to win because I don't see her losing just yet, even with shenanigans. So I think Tiffany was always going to lose either tonight or next week anyway. My prediction for Queen of the Ring is that Jade wins after beating Iyo.
If there's no backstage heat with upper management than I'm assuming there's no heat with Bianca and/or Jade since I'm sure if one or both of them had a problem than Tiffy would be suspended or something. At least until Bianca and/or Jade comes out and says something in a tweet or something.

Mind, her R1 win was obviously off TV, so it would represent one of the most low profile tournament runs ever if she were to get a bye. Some were thinking she'd win by shenanigans tonight and then get a bye into the final with Nia and Jade going to a double DQ or something, but that can't really happen if Tiff gets a bye tonight. Perhaps she will get a bye tonight and then just lose to Jade next week and have Iyo vs Jade in the final.
It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Not long before we find out at least with SmackDown being on tonight. If they do book Tiffy to beat Bianca than they've got the build-in excuse ready since they're playing up the knee thing already. But, wait and see I suppose in terms of who's closer or spot-on with their prediction ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Imagine a scenario where Tiffany advances to the 2nd round against Michin(the least credible female on the Smackdown bracket); advances to the Smackdown finals with a bye due to Bianca being injured; advances to the finals of the tournament due to Jade/Nia fighting to a no-contest or due to Nia costing Jade in the SD finals and then in the finals in Saudi she faces Lyra Valkyria(who advances past IYO due to Becky neutralizing Damage Ctrl, Damage ctrl paying her back at Saudi for interfering and attacking her, Lyra comes out to help but gets overwhelmed and beat down too and thus is less than 100% when she finally faces Tiffany). That would be such an opportunistic run on steroids that even Edge would blush at.....

Clearly what's going to happen is someone is going to get injured in the finals and then the best in the world will take their place. Boom Shane McMahon is your new Queen of the Ring. It's a sequel to the last blood money tournament.

Wrestlers are f***ing idiots, what can I tell you? I just saw a local match advertised where one of the most vocal people about speakingout is working for a promoter who was outed for harassing female talent.

That would be such an opportunistic run on steroids that even Edge would blush at..... Honestly if it wasn't for the fact that WWE's graphic team f***ed up and basically all but confirmed Lyra is getting past Iyo, I would say Iyo would be the winner of the tournament, as she needs it way more right now. They need to capitalize on their newfound momentum for her, but it seems like they are gearing Iyo up to be fed to Lyra and Becky, according to the Observer newsletter. Also Iyo has pretty much won all of her qualifying matches clean. The Natalya one could be spun either way, but Dakota and Kairi didn't actually get involved, they just yelled at Nattie, who decided to jaw off to them instead of paying attention. But yeah, I think Tiffany is winning QOTR now, but probably won't be getting MITB as a result. Or shouldn't, anyways.
