Anything other than a Tsuji win at this point is a disaster.
It is a House of Torture/Bullet Club filled world out there and we need a savior. Shingo is great but would feel too much of the same old given the need for new stars. It’s Tsuji or bust.

Tsuji is the man. That ELP match wasn't incredible (really good though), but going back to what I mentioned a few days ago, his ability to match or blend styles with his opponent is something special. A strength of someone like an Ibushi as opposed to an Okada is being a dynamic performer - one that rises to a challenge and works a match differently to get the best result, versus a wrestler that works their format every time out. Tsuji is dynamic in a way the rest of the young talent is not.
Was looking forward to seeing more of that technical lucha style against ZSJ, but Narita had other plans. I'll give respect to that main event though. People will complain about the victor/ending, but for 20 minutes those two went to war like it was the 90s again. When I got into New Japan originally, the technical, hard-hitting and bloody brawls were combined in major matches with guys like Inoki, Muta and Hashimoto. This harkened back to that in a very unexpected manner. Western fans often talk about letting EVIL wrestle his bruiser style again, but this was a nice showcase for the new Narita that surpassed his fight with Umino in Korakuen and potentially paved the way for how he can use the House of Torture scumbag gimmick to enhance his submissions/strikes. He needed something to lift his Shibata-cosplay to the next level, and if he continues like this, he will definitely be in a better place overall.

In some good news, Kojima's MCL injury wasn't as serious as thought as he's reported as greatly improving.

I wouldn't say Tsuji is a MUST, but yeah, he's the most interesting option for winner, and it'd get him on the right track.

I would bet Finlay was going to the finals against Tsuji or Shingo but probably Tsuji. SANADA probably gets the spot now.

Hoping for the best for Finlay. I've been critical of him at times, less out of dislike and more just frustration, but that's all completely meaningless versus his actual wellbeing.
