The Ned’s declassified are obnoxious but usually supportive. I’ve heard them talk about their show being clean as far as this shit. Hopefully they’re trying to protect their people and not sand bag credible allegations or in Peck’e case, proven pedophilia.
I need to make time to watch this. I follow the Boy Meets World podcast and they did an episode about this weeks ago that seemed genuine but now feels like they were trying to put water on the fire they knew was coming.

I sat and watched all of these yesterday. A lot of it was new information to me, but as awful as it sounds I was surprised by none of it because there are so many similar stories out there. And these are basically the stories that people are willing to share, for every one of these there will be a load more that people aren't willing to go public about, and not just at Nickelodeon, not even just in television, but in film, pop music, everything. One of the reasons I'm so uncomfortable with children in any form of entertainment is that the inherent power imbalance robs them of their agency and creates openings for abuse. It's been this way since the dawn of Hollywood at least, and it'll never change because you can't have a studio setting without adults in charge, and the abusers will always take advantage. It's baked into the structure of the system.

Damn I remember the pickle boy skits, had no idea of all the pedophila shit. Seeing Drake and his dad’s segments on the show was sad AF. That guy deserved to rot, 16 months isn’t even close to long enough. One thing I don’t get is how did it not gain traction at the time? Drake Bell was huge in 2004, and if it was in a court with other big Hollywood names i feel like we would have heard something. I know social media wasn’t as big back then but the internet still was

Came home from work yesterday and saw my girlfriend watching episodes 3 and 4, so I missed the first half, but I had seen Pop Arena's review on YouTube and yeah, they did let a lot of the real stories breathe in that half, so I'm glad I missed any of the potentially kind of trashy tabloid stuff that might've been on at the beginning.
These tween sitcoms were definitely well after my time as someone who grew up on early 90s Nickelodeon, but something about the whole trend that Nick and Disney Channel pursued of shows like these always felt strange to me. Won't pretend I had an idea of the kind of details this show got into, but I don't know, maybe it's a vibes thing compared to what a lot of earlier Nick content felt like in terms of how it approached communicating to its audience.

I find it odd to think anything negative happened on the set of YCDTOTV. I remember that there was a particular focus on ensuring that the show did not interfere with the kids’ education, something exploitive shows wouldn’t give two shits about. I also thought they monitored their mental and emotional wellbeing to keep them from being overwhelmed.

Obviously it's not as bad as the actual you know what, but It's a damn shame what that creep did to ruin the relationship between Drake and his father. That dad sniffed out Peck from a mile away. Really makes you wonder about all the wedges that child stars have had with their parents. Was it because their parents were greedy or demanding,(like Jennette Mccurdy) or rather the work of someone else with an alterior motive like we saw with Peck and Bell. There was one cast member in episode two that mentions the wedge his mom and he had because of the show

I know I probably shouldn't joke about such things, but it's honestly starting to sound like the only kid actors on Nickelodeon during the 90s and 00s that didn't come out with some kind of horrible trauma (that I'm aware of) are Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell.

Ask yourself why Victoria Justice has hardly worked since the end of Victorious and then watch episode one. I thought it was kind of sus to see an episode of "Zoey 101" with her sunbathing in a bikini and there was little to no purpose of it. She wasn't by a pool or a beach. Yes, I know girls do that in settings that don't have water so that they could get a tan, but she was about 13 or 14 at that time, and I see no purpose for it other than to fulfill some weird fantasies.

So I started watching it. I am now on the third episode. I have to say that I am rather disturbed by some of the things that were depicted.

The next episode won't air until April 7. I wonder what the show will touch on next because after watching the fourth episode, it feels like the Nickelodeon episodes are done.

It’s a bonus episode so likely corrections, cut footage, some follow up touch-ins or maybe new people speaking up, that kind of thing. Doubt it’ll be much of substance.

How f***ed is Nickelodeon when this releases? On a scale of awful SpongeBob episodes, Pet Sitter Pat Games Animation Ren and Stimpy screwed?

Today is Nickelodeon's 45th anniversary.
After Quiet on Set, Nickelodeon is dead to me.
