Actually I think Austin's chemistry with Big White Evil was f***ing atrocious The SS 98 match was decent, the Buried alive match at Rock Bottom was passable. The others were total ass.

I'd say his matches with Dude Love at Unforgiven and Over the Edge 1998.
His matches with Taker were really clunky and they didn't have any chemistry in the ring.

Unironically and unapologetically cite the Vince/Austin cage match as one of my favourite matches ever. The catharsis from seeing Austin absolutely smack the shit out of Vince was absolute peak pro-wrestling.

Either of the Dude Love main events from 98, tbh. He wrestled Undertaker and Kane a LOT in 98/99 and while a lot of those matches are historically significant, they're not really much to write home about. The SS 98 main event in particular got to be up there in terms of fantastic builds that led to a "meh" match.
Not-so-close second is either of the Rock title matches. The title match at No Mercy 99 against HHH is good too but they'd obviously make magic in a couple years once Austin returned from his injury.

The Dude Love matches, especially the ppv from MKE with Patterson adding the stips as the match went on. He and Mick had known each other for years, and I think they had a lot of trust in each other to go out there a do something special.

From memory, that match he had with Chris Benoit that had like a hundred German suplexes
EDIT: Nevermind, pretty sure this was post neck surgery

SummerSlam 1998 vs Undertaker is my favorite. But then again, I think the Highway to Hell was booked so perfectly. Super nostalgia.
