Steph Curry, Norman Lear, and Seth McFarlane is one heck of a random group. That looked terrible.

What if Velma but black? Also that Tom Goes To The Mayor like animation is OOF. I forgot how much I liked Tom Goes... Until now. What the hell does this have to do with Good Times and who is this for!? I'm over the hill and I only know Good Times from reruns. I can't imagine fans of the original rushing to see this and must young people probably aren't familiar with the franchise

Wake me for the Sanford and Son animated series. I was thinking earlier today when I first saw this mess that a S&S cartoon could actually be good. Hell this Could still be good, but that trailer set them back a LONG way. This actually has a good cast at least

I actually really like the idea of remaking classic sitcoms as animated series, but...not like this.

I barely have any connection to the old show, so instead I will share a video of guys who have more a connection discussing this.

This looks like an outright disaster, like something The Boondocks would show as a parody program in their universe to make a joke, but they're actually f***ing serious
The fact we're still doing the baby with an adult voice and personality doing adult things trope in 2024 is also just so bad, someone said it's like handing in a blank homework assignment, just no effort whatsoever.

I will say something to the don't judge until we see a finished product.
This is a trailer, this is what they put together to get people to tune in. If you think it looks bad, you are absolutely allowed to judge it based on that.
Now maybe don't base the actual show on the trailer but "I didn't watch it because the trailer looked terrible" is valid.

Sounds like Bad Times.
I'll see myself out, but I regret nothing.

A better idea for an animated show-that people will actually watch, because we wrestling fans are nerds-would be something akin to an animated show where the Road Warriors go around battling all sorts of monsters, kaiju, demons, aliens, Vince McMahon, P Diddy, and Chthulu. 🤷🏻♂️

Still love the intro theme to Good Times. Still hate everything else about Good Times.

This is every negative stereotype combined into one abomination I think this sums it up best. I immediately thought this felt more like an adult Proud Family than Good Times-the only resemblance was the apartment. DAMN DAMN DAMN Indeed!

It'll go nowhere since the show's likely still going to be released anyway.

*sees Seth McFarlane's name on it* That explains everything Readies my "outside of Family Guy, he's not that bad. And I still like FG" speech. He coulda revived The Cleveland Show. Just saying.

In 2024, they've managed to make a spinoff of Good Times that feels more offensive than the original Good Times, a show that debuted a decade after segregation ended. I have no words.
Also, slapping Norman Lear's name on this abortion when he is no longer here to speak for himself feels like something somebody should sue over.

Also, slapping Norman Lear's name on this abortion when he is no longer here to speak for himself feels like something somebody should sue over. Good Times was never offensive, they may have shown struggles in the 70s but the family loved each other and the show was uplifting and ended with them all moving into better places and lives. Getting out of the ghetto which they had fought to do.
