Man, why do we always have to go with Mt. Rushmore for our wrestling monuments? Not everything in life can be cut down to 4 people. Can't we discuss who belongs on wrestling's Moai Statues, since there's like a thousand of those things?!

My personal Mount Rushmore includes Bret Hart Ultimate Warrior Chris Jericho Diesel I'm curious that you picked Diesel over Kevin Nash. I was a huge Diesel fan too and it's so rare for someone to prefer the Diesel gimmick over the 1996-2000 Kevin Nash WCW/nWo/nWo wolfpack version. His 1995-96 heel run was AWESOME and I wish we got that earlier in 1995. Diesel is a face, but he's still dickish and kept his edge. Oh what could've been.

His 1995-96 heel run was AWESOME and I wish we got that earlier in 1995. Diesel is a face, but he's still dickish and kept his edge. Oh what could've been. It's an excellent question. I had a good old think about it and analysed myself. It boils down to Diesel having good to great big man matches from Summerslam 94 (Razor) through to In Your House Good Friends Better Enemies in 1996 against Michaels. Ignoring the Mabel debacle, he had 2 awesome matches with Bret Hart in 1995, and the Taker fued and match was the best thing Taker had done in a couple of years at that point. It helped Diesel's look exhuded the same cool energy as The Terminator, at least for me. He was also motivated to perform and not phone it in like latter day WCW. And psychologically, I had no access to WWF wrestling on weekly TV for nearly a year, and when it I did, Diesel was the champion and I guess the joy of having weekly wrestling as a child is forever etched in my mind.
