Who are those people? I recognize Puck and Spider-man 2099. On the cover? Well, there's Storm, Impossible Man, Ikaris of the Eternals... To me, half the fun of the Handbooks is finding out about characters you'd never heard of before.

Hey Madison, I've been meaning to ask. What happens if the world actually gets to the year 2099? Do you guys just reprint the 2099 line like it's new material? ;D

How can they possibly prepare on such short notice!?

I mean, it's not like they're Image, or something! ;D Image doesn't have a shared universe anymore, so they don't have to plan for the future. Image is essentially the publisher that picks up the indy titles Dark Horse doesn't want.

Image is essentially the publisher that picks up the indy titles Dark Horse doesn't want. Not counting the Wildstorm stuff that's now put out by DC, I haven't picked up an Image book in ages. Then again, I haven't picked up a comic book in months, so you'll forgive me if I can't keep track of what Image is up to. PS Spawn still sucks.

Image still put out a few decent books, mainly Robert 'kirkmans stuff (though he's bringing those to Marvel) Invincible and The Walking Dead. And the publish Doug Tenapel's graphic novels. Tenapel is a genius.

Did I mention Spawn still sucks?
And Image published the Clerks graphic novel, collecting some stuff Kevin Smith did in comic book form. So they aren't all bad. I just don't like Spawn too much, and he's basically Mr. Image. Also, Rob Liefeld's artwork pissed me off, and pretty much every book put out by Image when they started out looked like it was drawn by him.
Yeah, I'm not letting go of grudges from the early-to-mid 90s.

It's against the rules to wish death on people, so instead I'll wish ridiculous shoulderpads, big hair, an over-the-top physique and one of those stupid half-mask half-head protector things on Liefeld instead... see how he likes it.

Do you guys just reprint the 2099 line like it's new material? ;D Yes, but not the 2099 line you're thinking of. We'll be spinning into the Marvel Knights 2099 world that they did some one-shots of a couple-three years back.
