Giving the benefit of the doubt that outdoor stadiums don’t have the same acoustics as indoor stadiums, but is it just me or was the crowd tonight flat as a pancake?
Don’t blame them for the Uso match but I just thought there wasn’t an oomph to the atmosphere. The boos for Cody were weird as well although he seemed to have everyone on side by the end.

I think the boos for Cody were more so people remembering how much they love The Rock (think hogan at WM18) I’m sure. they’ll be red hot for Cody tomorrow.

It was open air, that always causes the sound to come off as muted.
That said they were definitely dead for parts of it, especially the Usos match and all but the end of the women's tag.

crowd was quiet in spots, but I thought they were good all night in cold ass weather. It's like a football game. cheer big stuff, stay warm repeat.
Also the Cody boos sounded Cena ish. meaning very male heavy boos and kids/women cheering.

You really can’t judge the crowds on these stadium shows. The acoustics just aren’t there, and it’s also a 4 hour show. That said, they got pretty loud at certain points (the opening match, Truth, The Rock, etc)

In defense of the crowd, the show wasn't that good.

I think it’s, at least in part, a product of the 2 night Manias kind of diluting the overall experience, but Mania just doesn’t really have the same spectacle feel that it used to, to me.
It’s almost like if the first half of the Super Bowl was played on Saturday, with the second strings facing off. I expect tomorrow to be a little hotter, both the crowd and the card.

I super enjoyed ROH Supercard of Honor.
I paid $10 for it.
Wrestlemania Saturday wasn't a great show.
They paid much more than $10 to see it.
...
I get it.

Idk, 38 and 39 did a pretty good job at maintaining the "feeling of mania" for two nights, even if the endings were disappointing.

I dunno, with the caveat that I don’t especially care for WWE’s product 99% of the time, even now, and my opinion is probably ultra biased, I kind of feel like both of those shows certainly had really high highs, but the 2-night format still really diluted the overall spectacle of it for me. It’s like, two cards that would have been pretty good Backlashes never really make one good WrestleMania for me.

It’s the open air stadium (plus weather).

It's one of the reasons I despise stadium shows.
R-Truth winning exhausted the crowd and they weren't the same after.

Paying hundreds, maybe thousands, of dollars to have ads blasted at you throughout must kill the mood a bit.

Paying hundreds, maybe thousands, of dollars to have ads blasted at you throughout must kill the mood a bit. The ads on the screens and ring? Other than those, there weren’t really many commercials at all (unless you don’t have Peacock Premium).

Paying hundreds, maybe thousands, of dollars to have ads blasted at you throughout must kill the mood a bit. Eh, I forgot about most of them after the first time I saw them. The exception being, of course, the big dumb Prime bottle in the middle of the ring. Cody doing his sad face match over moment nestled perfectly in the outline of a Prime bottle looked so dumb.

Stadium shows are usually quieter due to the acoustics, but having said that, most of the stadiums shows I've watched, the crowds still seemed audibly into it.
From what I've seen the show itself seemed decent enough, but the cold weather on top of the crazy prices.. I'd want a stellar show.
The benefit of having two nights means they can review the reactions from the first and change things up for the second, though.
I'd imagine the hype and buzz will naturally be higher tonight.

Based on what I’ve seen from people who were there, there were a couple of factors at play here:
1. The acoustics were poor - people said it was louder in the building
2. People were freezing
I’m sure those greatly played into the crowd noise on TV, but I also think a couple of matches just weren’t all that hot.
