I may get some heat from saying this, but to me, Priest is just lukewarm. Rhea appears to be the true breakout star from this Judgement Day group. But I just can't get interested in Priest. If the Royal Rumble crowd reaction is the barometer for how much a person is over, go back and watch his entrance from 2024. There's no clear pop from the crowd when he comes out. And there's no real crowd reactions throughout his time in the ring.
I am hoping that a failed cash-in is used as a catalyst for the Judgement Day breakup. If he does win, I don't see him being anything more than a transitional champion. It seems most likely that Drew will be headlining Clash at the Castle. Then, there's the question of how WWE gets back to Punk vs. Rollins when Punk is healed.
Unless I am missing something, I don't see what is so special about Damian Priest and why he should be getting a world title push. Even bringing back R-Truth to add some levity to the Damian Priest segments did not get any more interested in him.

Yes, but mostly because we could use a successful male one after what they did with Theory's time.

It has to be against DM Hunk. He gets screwed again when Priest cashes it right after Hunk beats Seth.

I like Priest as a talent, but no, I don't think I can see him as a show's top champ. He's like Corbin in that way to me.

Though since his NXT stuff I could better see Corbin getting closer to the top now than all the times they tried before. We'll see what if anything they do with him once his time teaming with Bron as NXT Tag Champ is over.

Idk. For the sake of ending this cycle of MITB and after last year's stupidity, I hope so It just feels like there isn't time for this. I'm assuming Gunther is going to get elevated to the WHC picture. Drew is killing it too hard to not have a lenghty reign or at the very least, not walk out with the Belt at Glasgow. The current WHC cycle endgame is somethiing involving Punk/Drew/Seth.
After reading this. I think MITB has run its course, if it hasn't already.

I feel like they are trying hard to resurrect the gimmick after the dumpster fire that was Theory's cash-in. If Theory was going to have a failed cash-in, they should have just did it in that match with Brock and Roman at Summerslam.

Yeah but Drew has to walk out tonight as the champ One thing that is evident is that Seth has to be incapacitated by the main event. They have to build the drama that Cody is up against the odds and has no backup. Either Seth gets kayfabe injured at the end of the Drew match or the Bloodline attacks Seth after the match.

Yeah I agree, but Cody would atleast have to attempt to make the save for Seth right? Unless they wanna turn Seth heel and have him take on Cody later

hmm...
first thought is no but you could have him cash in on drew. drew is such a good heel that people are going to cheer him sooner or later anyways, have him stay the exact same but be the one to take down judgment day. he could be a fantastic anti-hero.

How can you not cheer Drew? Brock Lesnar was built up as an unstoppable monster since ending the Undertaker's streak. Drew was the one to finally take down Brock, but Drew never got his moment in front of a live crowd.

Yeah and I feel like Drew is gonna help the bloodline, since him and Heyman were talking backstage that one night

It has to be against DM Hunk. He gets screwed again when Priest cashes it right after Hunk beats Seth. Would be a good way to set Drew up as the conquering hero in Scotland for the PPV in June.
