It was heartwarming to see the crowd cheer when the camera showed Brandi standing next to Cody during the entrances. We joke about Open Mic Night and how her time in AEW wasn’t really the best on-screen, but it was just nice to see the crowd cheer her presence.

I remember a lot of people complaining about how most babyfaces were loners without any real friends under Vince. I'm glad that's changed. Which is a mindset I never got why Vince ended up clinging too. Hogan, had shitloads of friends most of them turned on him eventually but that's besides the point... Andre, Paul Orndorff, Macho Man, Jim Duggan, Hell the Honky Tonk Man was brought in as a friend of Hogan's. Austin - was mostly a loner but he was best friends with Jim Ross if anyone f***ed with Jim Ross, Austin would generally come out and beat the hell out of them. The Rock - besides the various stables he was in (though those were mostly on his way up) after the Rock and Sock Connection he always went to bat for Mick. Cena is the first one to not have any kind of long term friends... they setup some a few times but then they either forgot they set it up or well they Zack Ryder them. Oh and Roman still had Dean as his buddy post Shield split even if they rarely interacted.

I love the part at like 1 minute right before Cole says he loves Professional Wrestling... where Cody either just goes ah (becuase he was looking for her) or yells out Mom and hugs his mother.

You can tell Cole was emotional in this video. Such a thing wouldn’t be possible under Vince. In regards to that tag title match that he referenced, that happened on an episode of Raw in 2008 when then tag champs Cody/Ted Jr faced Lawler/Cole. That reference also wouldn’t be allowed under Vince. Also I can remember Jimmy Van from Jimmyvan.com stating back in 2011 that Cody would never draw as a main eventer. How wrong was that? Granted the Cody back then was completely different but still.

It's a minor miracle that group stand together with none of them attacking each other. Not even a RKO. Probably why Austin wasn't there, can't be trusted. Punk was there because he only attacks people backstage.

I actually thought Hogan was the one who turned on all his friends. Savage in the 89 Rumble, Warrior in the 90 Rumble, Tugboat at the 91 Rumble and Sid in the 92 Rumble.

I mean, correct me if I'm wrong as I wasn't watching just yet, but I don't think Hogan and Warrior even had any interactions on screen together until the 90 Rumble. That's what made the moment, I thought: that the two nigh-invincible heroes finally crossed paths. Again, could be wrong as I wasn't watching yet. As for Sid in 1992, yeah he did screw Sid and was shown as a sore loser, but that was after Sid dumped Hogan when in story Hogan was probably at least expecting Sid to help him get rid of Flair and then they'd settle it man to man.

Little thing I noticed...
Cena was mostly at the sides or in the back, waving to hype up the crowd even louder. He even ducked under the camera view at one point, when crossing the ring.
Such a change, where the big megastars would get up front and centre, yell and pose ("grandstandin' and yer hawdoggin'!"), to be like playing a side role and making sure not to crowd Cody out of his big moment.

Yeah, I noticed that with Cena trying to stay out of majority visibility. Even back during Bret's Mania X celebration Savage was pretty prominent compared to how Cena was here.

Ironically, II would like to see Cody do a Bret Hart; be a fighting champion who offers title shots to midcarders.

The more I watch this, it is absolutely INCREDIBLE both Cena and Orton are in the ring for this with Cody.
Cena and Orton defined a generation before Cody, so two have these two HUGE stars celebrating him.
Man. Awesome.
