My Suspension is over. I'm back and what a show to come back to. WWE has been awesome since my suspension started. It's stupid to post everything that I missed. I will post a link to my site once I'm done as I have been behind in updating everything.
Here are my Backlash Thoughts, Facts, & Stats
My Picks: Rhodes, Priest, Bayley, Belair & Cargill, The Bloodline
Already they screwed up. Tonight is Bayley's 2nd Defense. She defended against Naomi 2 weeks ago on Smackdown.
What an waste of an hour. They need matches on the Kickoff.
Love the big fight feel of everyone entering the arena for Backlash. Great opening video as usual. Listen to that crowd. It's going to be an awesome night.
It makes sense to start with R-KO VS The Bloodline after that's how Smackdown ended last night.
Randy Orton & Kevin Owens VS The Bloodline was incredible. What a fight. I love them brawling before the match & security not controlling them forcing Nick Aldis to make it a Street Fight. It should have been made a Street Fight last night after Smackdown since I had to do extra work now to get everyone's No DQ History. I wasn't expecting Tonga Loa to debut. I loved all of Michael Cole's New Japan References. MY PICKS: 1 for 1.
Bayley VS Naomi VS Tiffany Stratton was an awesome match. All 3 women were fantastic. Stratton showed that she belongs on the main roster. MY PICKS: 2 for 2.
Cool segment with Jey Uso confronting The Bloodline & Paul Heyman.
What a reaction for Jey Usos. The crowd is unbelievable tonight.
Jey Uso VS Damian Priest was great. Jey redeemed himself from that crap that was his match against Jimmy at Mania. I didn't like all of the attempted interference. Priest can't become another Roman Reigns with getting help to retain. Good Priest was mad for what McDonagh & Balor did. MY PICKS: 3 for 3.
Amazing. Backlash is the largest gate of any arena show in WWE History.
I missed the QR Code.
Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill VS The Kabuki Warriors was bad. Cargill still has a lot of work to do in WWE & shouldn't be wrestling a long match like that. Also, I think if people seeing her wrestle for the 1st time sees her grey hair, people would think she's old. MY PICKS: 4 for 4.
Damn it. They should do Qualifying Matches for the King & Queen of The Ring Tournament. I hate when they just announce matches for Tournaments. They should have to earn a shot to be in them to make it more prestigious & to make every match important.
There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe Cody Rhodes VS AJ Styles. It is without a doubt my favorite match of 2024. MY PICKS: 5 for 5.
Here are my Backlash Match Rankings:
1) Cody Rhodes VS AJ Styles
2) Randy Orton & Kevin Owens VS The Bloodline
3) Bayley VS Naomi VS Tiffany Stratton
4) Jey Uso VS Damian Priest
5) Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill VS The Kabuki Warriors
Ends an incredible Backlash. I loved every match but the Women's Tag Title Match. Every match was given time. We didn't have any time wasting segments. The 5 matches were perfect. The crowd was awesome. It ends on time with the whole night free. Despite where it's going to be, I can't wait for the KOTR/QOTR Tournament. I'm skipping the Press Conference.
