I think he got hurt in that his entire gimmick was set on a storyline in NXT. He wasn't someone you could easily introduce in a sentence or two. He needed video packages or segments. It's kinda hte same problem that BO had with the Bo lieve stuff. It was 100% based on needing hte prior knowledge of the face run over push, and the crowd growing sick of him... Emma's original call up had that problem too... the weird quirky dance had a full arc on NXT that no one saw.

What a foolish release.
I remember enjoying Trevor Lee when he was in PWG, and I thought he had a lot of potential. I wasn't surprised he signed to WWE, especially with NXT being a good fit for him to grow.
He is going to do very well for himself elsewhere, especially now that he has seasoned himself for larger audiences.
Nowhere but to the moon for him.
