Did Crowther do the Killer Bees comics too? I have those, signed. Yes, he did that one. He did ones for Nikolai, Bruno, Terry Funk, Rocky Johnson, Lanny Poffo and several others. Got Nikolai too!

I’ve been listening to some wrestling audiobooks on Spotify lately. Becky’s, Jon Moxley, Young Bucks, and I’m partly into Brian Gewirtz’s but then I ran out of credits for the month 😂
Def recommend Moxleys

I wish I could get Gary Hart's book. It's out of print and costs a LOT of money now.

Death of WCW is questionable for its accuracy but a fun, easy read

That's the one that started it all! John has done a great job. It's awesome to see how he has come so far from simply wanting to do a comic book on wrestlers to doing many and becoming great friends with many of the guys.

I wish I could get Gary Hart's book. It's out of print and costs a LOT of money now. His son posted on another board a few years ago that he was wanting to get it reprinted. Of course everyone keep asking him question after question, really not even giving him time to answer the first ones. He was on the site a good bit but he disappeared without ever coming back.

Roddy Piper's book is great if you're okay with 90% lies. Just don't read the last two chapters. It's just depressing.

My top five looks like this: 1) Jerichos' First "A Lion's Tale" 2) Mick Foley's First "Mankind: A Tale of Blood and Sweatsocks" 3) Bret Hart's First "Hitman: My Life in the..." 4) Scott Norton's "Strong Style" 5) Bob Backlund's "Backlund" Even if you aren't a Norton or Backlund fan, those two books are so well written and those dudes LIVED LIFE! Great stories from all over the world in them from a genuine believable perspective. Highly, highly recommended. The ones I'd say to avoid are Lawler and Moolah's as they're both written entirely in Kayfabe (except in Lawler's he comes clean about Kaufman, but that chapter was included as a bonus book in the Jake Roberts DVD), Ric Flair's book (he has since come out against it and fully rejects it) and the Hulk and Linda Hogan books as they're full of easily disprovable lies, with Linda's being so bad she had to issue a public apology over it. I don't remember Lawler's being in kayfabe but I do remember a lot of time spent trying to woo The Kat back and it being really sad. The only interesting part of the book that stuck out to me was how much he hated working with Jim Carrey but that was explored in that Jim and Andy film on Netflix a few years ago so yeah it's not really essential at all.
