I think what's more astonishing about AJ's WWE run is that it was almost entirely with Vince in charge. He got to keep his name and was pushed as a main event guy despite that. Pretty impressive. Could have easily been renamed Jones Allen or something like that and just been used in the Evan Bourne role. Instead he was treated as a relatively big deal right out of the gate.

It was one of the rare occasions where Vince's booking of a wrestler I liked was exceeded.

TNA not ever committing to making Stylea THE guy is such a ridiculously stupid decision He's the future and in one or two years he's going to be big, Sug! (ignoring that at that point AJ Styles was like a multi-time grandslam champion.) Yeah, just a big reason why I think that WWE's booked him better than TNA. In TNA he was always the future, he'll be big in the future and get his flowers. In WWE, it's he's great right f***ing now. Feuds with Roman for the title a few months after debuting. Wins a feud against Cena after that, wins the WWE Title, and later on holds the title for over a year. He's constantly being used unless injured, and always presented as a top guy.

TNA not ever committing to making Styles THE guy is such a ridiculously stupid decision I'm not really a fan of his, but I agree. He should have been the ace of that company.
