That Lashley/Kofi title match at MITB where Kofi got zero offense in for what felt like an elongated squash.

Hogan took 90% of the match against Sting at Starrcade when all the fans wanted to see was him get his ass kicked. That wasn't the plan, Sting was in just such bad shape that they kind of had to do it that way I always wonder with this.. it's not like Sting was appearing via satellite for a year and then showed up looking like crap. He was there, on the road, with the rest of the roster. Surely if he was in bad shape guys would have noticed and something would have been done about it. Having said that, his performance at Starrcade is piss poor.

Rockers vs. Power and Glory at Summerslam '90. I didn't think P&G were gonna actually win, and instead they looked unstoppable with the injury angle on Shawn and then destroying Marty.

I recall Roderick Strong and Takeshi Morishima in 2007 was a 13-minute match where Strong got maybe two minutes' worth of offense in the whole time before getting beat.

Randy Savage in 1995 WCW.
Get beat up whole match, get in a reversal move, drop the elbow.

Poor performance or no, how could nobody notice the top babyface was in too poor condition to do what needed to be done until the day of the biggest show in company history? Then once they realized it, how did they decide, “Let’s do the worst crap we can do and still have him get his hand raised!”?

Did anyone see Nash kicking Backlund's ass in 8 seconds? What makes me angriest about this is that Diesel hypes the crowd up after hitting the powerbomb before going for the pin That wasn't the plan, Sting was in just such bad shape that they kind of had to do it that way I always wonder with this.. it's not like Sting was appearing via satellite for a year and then showed up looking like crap. Yeah but the post you were replying to is just repeating what Bischoff claims about the situation, and generally I wouldn't believe Bischoff if he told me the sky was blue. I've never understood why, in a match where Hogan went over and ruined the hottest angle in the company's history, this is one example where for some reason people don't just consistently blame Hogan for it like he gets the blame in other situations. No, this one must definitely be Sting's fault!

No, this one must definitely be Sting's fault! I wasn't blaming Sting for the booking of the match. I was questioning the reason given, as it doesn't quite fit. However, his performance in the match isn't great. Even from his entrance, he's stoic to the point that he looks like he doesn't want to be there. Mind you, that could just be him trying to work out the character.

Brock vs. Goldberg at Survivor Series 2016, which was being hyped up as a big dream match… only for Goldberg to destroy Lesnar in about two minutes.

Sting, while I love him, also isn't great at putting the effort into an angle when he isn't engaged with it and he likely knew this match would suck. So I think he actually *was* unmotivated too...

Weird one I think was supposed to make MVP look good in defeat where he just came out of it looking awful, a match he had with Triple H on some random Raw where Triple H got literally no offense the entire match until suddenly just hitting the Pedigree out of nowhere to win.
