Boring has plenty more acceptable scenarios than What does.

don't like it during a match. But during stupidity like that Rosie vs Trump skit WWE did--by all means, chant away

Only cool if it's happening because of the booking, not because of the performers.
Booing the millionth match between Cena and Orton is fine because it's glaringly apparent no one wants to see that again, and the only reason it's happening is Vince is out of ideas. Cena and Orton know what it's about, it's fine.
Two dudes are putting on a genuinely shitty match, silence is the strongest rebuke you can deliver. No need to actively be a douchebag.

Highly derogatory ones that were mostly used in ECW and the Attitude Era WWF. One beginning with F for guys, and various ones for women.

There are times where it's justified.
I.E stupid shit like Rose O Donnell vs Donald Trump or any other of Mcmahon's attempt at so called Humour.

It's disrespectful to do it during a match, whatever you think of the show, two or more people are still out there putting their bodies on the line, and like the 'What?' chants, people often did it just to be dicks. Yep. It's like putting laser pointers on people's faces. It's just being a dick from a safe distance. We all know it was just some zit-faced kids or drunk idiots doing it back in the day, but I always hated the laser thing.. of course this is going to be an extreme example but given the distance and all that.. you couldn’t rule out that it wasn’t coming from a firearm. *im a veteran and a gun owner so it’s not an anti-gun fear mongering thing but safety is paramount.

I was going to vote no, but if someone in power is using their power to put stuff on TV no one wants to see, I can get behind it. I will say, if you know your audience and have a good relationship with them, they simply wont chant that. Crowds are smarkier than ever and I can't even think of the last time I heard that chant. I remember one show in the 90's where ECW fans gave a Jerry Lynn match those chants, but the very next segment were going crazy as Blue Meanie and some other guy had a horrible comedy match. That BS can go away for enterinity. *Nothing against Blue Meanie, but his dancing shtick got old after 2 minutes

In general as long as they're not being racist, misogynistic, homophobic or otherwise bigoted, I am of the opinion that the paying customers have the right to express whatever opinion they may have about the event they paid to see.

The WWF Light Heavyweight division in the late 90s used to get tons of abuse from live crowds, and 'boring' chants were probably the most common form of it.

It actually got chanted by some in Peoria during Emi Sakura vs Yuka Sakazaki and I felt bad, because clearly their match plans changed because of Yuka's injury.

The absolute best counter I've ever seen to this was delusional heel who thought he was a face Bo Dallas always responding "THAT'S RIGHT, THIS IS BO'S RING!!"

I think the best counter I've seen was Lance Storm after Austin basically assassinated his heat with it like a douchebag, deciding to lean into it and start reading out the dictionary definition of boring before matches to prove why he's not boring, which of course, is the most boring thing in recorded history.

I think a good old fashioned boo session is better but it can be justified. Thinking of stuff like HHH vs Steiner at RR etc

I think a good old fashioned boo session is better but it can be justified. Thinking of stuff like HHH vs Steiner at RR etc Strongly disagree. Booing is indistinguishable from heat. Booing is what good heel work gets. There is not an objective measure of what the 'right' kind of booing is. If you boo something that sucks, you're not telling the promotion or the bookers that what you're seeing sucks, you're telling them it gets a reaction.

i can't remember the last time i heard one but there's a good decade plus of WWE that I can't imagine without those chants. they deserved them. what else were the crowds gonna say, f*** you or i hope your toes fall off?
now if it is a match that just isn't coming together, that i don't agree with chanting boring. you can do it and i'm not going to judge but i'd personally just go to the concession stands or not say much but that's just me.
