Since there's been several comic threads, I want to chime in on a comic from my younger days that I really loved...The Three Geeks. This series obviously deals with the trials and tribulations of three comic book fanboys. Written and drawn by Rich Koslowski, the artwork is nice and clean, and the stories all too familar to anyone who obsessed over comics. What's some of your favorite non marvel/dc comics? PS. They're making an indy film out this! comicsworthreading.com/2007/03/22/3-geeks-movie-planned/

I liked Bone for a while. The old Power Ranger comics were decent.

I like STANGERS IN PARADISE and not because I had two letters printed in them. I used to like SAVAGE DRAGON (and the related books) until Erik Larsen wrote himself in a corner. I did like Larsen's rendition of TMNT (Donatello was a cyborg, Raphiel had one eye) I can't forget to add SHI to this list tho

I didn't read the entire run, but of what I did, Cerebus The Aardvark was cool.
Jed Shaffer ~An aardvark pope with a huge sword. How can you go wrong?

Fables FTW. Yeah, yeah, I know its Vertigo, which is a subsidiary of DC, but still.
Seriously, guys, go pick it up. Volume 9 is out next week and I'm dying to complete my trade set.

Forgot about MAXX (although those last issues were a little weak. Great stories, but they seemed like they were planned for the quickly canceled Friends of MAXX. #75 is about where I thought Larsen wrote himself into the corner You really owe it to yourself to pick up Srangers In Paradise. It got really good after that flash-forward and a whole bunch of crap hit a few fans.

If we're including Vertigo, I loved Preacher. But I'm still really into Walking Dead. I also enjoyed the Avatar runs of Friday the 13, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The current Wildstorm versions are even better. I also liked War of the Undead. How can you go wrong with Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolf Man battling an army of Nazi zombies?
