133. Francine Smith (American Dad) When Francine was about 14 years old in high school, she had an obsessive crush on her algebra teacher, Mr. Feeny. She became so obsessed with him, she was in his closet cutting herself and sniffing his T-shirts. Mr. Feeny's wife found her in the closet, and called the police. Francine lied to them and said that she and Mr. Feeny were lovers. Mr. Feeny was sent to jail and committed suicide there. During the rest of high school, she was said to have been "very depressed," until she found the miracle of marijuana. Even though she was a party girl during her college years, sleeping with Adam Ant, Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, and Dexys Midnight Runners (about whom it is suggested they wrote Come on Eileen, mistaking Francine's name), she keeps her opinions mostly to herself in order to keep with Stan's conservative views. However, she does not keep her extremely intense hatred of George Clooney to herself. She hates him because he stole her spotlight in her only television appearance, which would have guaranteed her a movie career. Since then, Francine's dream has been to, at the very least, make George Clooney cry. Francine, then a hippie, first met her future husband Stan when he had just graduated from the CIA academy and offered a post as an operative. She had recently returned from a Burning Man festival and was trying to hitchike home, and Stan pulled over and gave her a ride. During the trip, Stan veered to avoid hitting a car and accidentally ran over a racoon. He then proceeded to put the poor creature out of its misery with his gun. This attracted Francine so much she kicked her drug addiction, renounced her hippie ways, and married Stan five months after they had met. Francine has a sister, Gwen, who has yet to appear on the show. When Stan was still oblivious to the fact that Greg Corbin and Terry Bates were gay, he suggested that he and Francine fix them up with Gwen. While Francine knows they're gay, Stan thinks her reluctance is because Gwen is "too hot" and then reminisces about her appearance at their wedding.

132. Revy (Black Lagoon) Revy (Rebecca) does most of the fighting for the Lagoon Company. She is of Chinese descent and grew up in New York City, spending most of her youth as a thief and murderer. Revy is very competitive, easily bored, and quick to anger. While being extremely attractive, she also has many personality traits that most would see as highly undesirable. Unlike Rock, she is undiplomatic, believing in the use of brute force and coercion to get her way. Revy is a killer without a conscience, and she is also a heavy smoker and drinker. Of all the characters in the series, Revy uses the most foul language. She takes maniacal glee in killing anyone and everyone. She nearly shot Rock at point blank range during a confrontation in episode 7. However, she does have a tendency to save Rock from critical situations, and later on she admits to considering Rock as family to Balalaika (to which Balalaika commented she's become a better speaker). It has been implied that she cares for Rock much more than she lets on, and quite easily conveys barely-contained jealousy whenever Rock finds another female attractive and appealing. According to CIA agents in the Philippines, Revy is still notorious in the NYPD, particularly at the 27th Precinct. Revy is one of the deadliest fighters in the series, whose skill with firearms and ability to dodge bullets is almost unparalleled - there are only a few other characters, such as Roberta and Ginji, that can hold their ground against her in combat. Her weapons of choice are twin modified Beretta 92Fs, which use stainless steel and are adapted for silencers. They are engraved with "Sword Cutlass", the jolly roger of the famous pirate Calico Jack (which is also inlaid into the grips), and an inscription in Thai. Due to her ambidextrous marksmanship skills, she is nicknamed "Two-Hands" by the people of Roanapur. Revy enjoys the music of Guitar Wolf and White Zombie. She also claims to watch the Oprah Winfrey Show

131. Urd (Oh My Goddess) Urd is Belldandy's older sister and is the second Goddess to appear to Keiichi. Urd ranks as Goddess second class, management category limited license, similar to her youngest sister Skuld. She is the Yggdrasil System Administrator and Manager. Although her powers exceed those of her sisters, she was supposedly relegated to second class ranking due to her tendency to lie, said Belldandy early in the manga. Later, the real reason that she dropped the first class license examination was revealed to be because she was asked why she wanted to be a first class goddess. She only wanted power to protect her sisters, not power to protect all beings (as a first class goddess would do). Urd has extensive knowledge of potion lore. Urd recharges her energy by drinking sake and travels via television screens. She bears the emblem of the past. If allowed to wield her full first class power unsealed, Urd could possibly be the most powerful of the Goddesses on Earth. Her power is such that even just touching Peorth (a first class Goddess) caused bruising on the latter. Urd fancies herself a Goddess of Love, although the mishaps of using her magical potions and her general lack of restraint tends to complicate, rather than stimulate, Keiichi and Belldandy's love life. She came to Earth to spur Keiichi onward with love potions and well-meaning, but deceitful advice, but as punishment for deserting her post and for using her powers on Earth without authorization, The Almighty banished her from Heaven until further notice. That notice came after the Terrible Master Urd episode c. chapter 47, but by then she wanted to stay on Earth and everyone helped muck up things so she couldn't go back right away. She and Skuld have since done emergency duty on Yggdrasil in heaven at least twice since then, as of ch 162. As she demonstrates in the manga, she can exercise immense control over her powers despite her second-class status. She was able to draw her personal sigil using first-class lightning magic on her first attempt, a task that required First Class Goddess Peorth numerous attempts to successfully complete. Urd shares a common father with her younger sisters (Belldandy, Skuld), but has a different mother, the Demon Lord Hild. Because of this, Urd is half-Goddess and half-Demon, reflected in the half-white, half-black appearance of her Angel, World of Elegance. Perhaps due to her Demonic heritage, Austrian Polka (in the English manga) or Enka (in the Japanese manga and TV series) instantly puts Urd to sleep and she is unable to awaken until the music ceases. Keiichi's friends (and his sister Megumi) are aware of Urd's existence and her relationship with Belldandy and residency at Keiichi's home; however, for the most part they are not aware of her "goddess" status. For the longest time, she was unable to summon her angel since she was so scared when she first saw it and ordered it never to come out. This was caused by her self doubt at being half-Goddess and half-Demon since she equated having pure white wings as the sign of being a true Goddess. She has since gotten over whatever self doubt was holding her back and can now once again call her angel at will, much to Skuld's chagrin (she had originally thought that Urd had no angel and wanted to top her eldest sister by being first).

130. Ami Mizuno aka Sailor Mercury (Sailor Moon) Ami's most-emphasized character trait is that she is enormously intelligent. Her peers view her with a mixture of awe and distaste, misinterpreting her inherent shyness as snobbery, and so she tends to have a difficult time making new friends. Naoko Takeuchi gave Ami genius-level intelligence to give the impression that Ami was not quite human, but her editor objected and this inhuman trait was later toned down. Ami is depicted as sweet, gentle, and loyal, as well as slightly insecure. Early on she relies somewhat heavily on the approval of her mother, teachers, and friends, but as the series progresses she becomes stronger and more confident in herself. She is generally the most sensible of the main characters, and is often the only one embarrassed when the group has a dull-witted moment. As the story begins, she attends Azabu Jûban Junior High along with Usagi Tsukino and Makoto Kino. Throughout the series, much of Ami's free time is spent studying. She loves to read, and dreams aloud of one day being a doctor like her mother. She has great appreciation for art as well as science, and contrary to the usual depiction of a bookworm, even enjoys pop culture and romance novels (though she is usually embarrassed to admit it). In the manga, Ami also has something of a crazy streak — she often scolds Usagi and the others for not doing their homework, and she can become obsessive about being the best student. She sometimes displays attraction to boys her age, and other times aversion to the idea. Love letters are listed as the one thing she has most trouble with, and when she later receives one, it gives her a rash. In the anime, a classmate named Urawa learns her identity and expresses attraction to her, but this is never resolved, as he disappears after just two appearances in the first series. Besides reading, Ami is also shown playing chess and swimming in order to relax. As the team scholar, computers are listed her strong point; she even belongs to the club at school. She loves all her classes, especially mathematics. Her favorite foods are given as sandwiches and anmitsu, with her least favorite being yellowtail. Other loves include cats and the color aquamarine. Ami stands approximately 158 centimeters tall (5 ft 2 in), though this varies slightly according to the version of the story and passage of time. She is blood type A. Ami is one of the few girls in the series whose family situation is explicitly mentioned in the anime. Her parents are divorced, and she lives with her mother, a busy doctor who is not home very often. They look very similar, and Ami very much admires her mother and longs to live up to her example. Besides her workaholic tendencies, Ms. Mizuno is portrayed as a good person who openly resents not having more time to spend with her daughter. Ami's father is never named, but is stated in the manga and anime to be a painter. The manga says that he never visits them, having decided one day not to come home from the forest where he was relaxing and painting, but he sends her postcards on her birthday. Thinking about this, Ami sometimes resents her parents' selfishness in separating, partly because divorce in Japan is taboo. However, in the anime Ami seems to appreciate her father and seems to share some of his artistic traits, even composing a song at one point. In the manga, Ami's mother is revealed to be fairly rich, as they live in a condominium. Ami is shown testing the strength of a sword that the Sailor Senshi received on the moon by using it to chip a diamond ring. (Classically, a diamond is the hardest mineral.) When the girls panic, she calms them by saying that her mother has many more. In the live-action series, Ami is especially shy and usually wears glasses while in public, even though she does not need them. At her middle school, she has no friends before meeting Usagi and always eats lunch alone on the roof so she can study. Usagi seems to be the only one to realize that Ami is merely shy, not truly standoffish, and in befriending her gradually helps Ami to learn that she is more than just a bookworm. By Act 34, when Ami's mother attempts to transfer her to another school because she thinks Ami's friends are bad influences, Ami rebels, avoiding the admission interview and spending the night at the Senshi hideout with Rei Hino. Later she tells her mother that what she's doing in her life right now is more important than studying, and her mother understands. The kanji in Ami's name translate as "water" (mizu?), "field" (no?), "Asia" or "second" (a?), and "beauty" (mi?). It is structured as a pun, as the syllable "no" indicates a possessive, so that her name can also be understood as "Ami of Water." It is frequently mistranslated as "Friend of Water" because of the French word ami, which is included in some Japanese dictionaries. In the English versions of the series, "Amy" mostly retains her family name of Mizuno. One early episode of the anime, however, shows her answering the phone in her house by saying "Anderson residence." DiC may have intended this as her last name, but she is reverted to Mizuno by Cloverway in the series' third season. In an early DiC promotional tape that advertised Sailor Moon to television stations, Ami was given the name Blue.

129. Kukaku Shiba (Bleach) Kûkaku is an ill-tempered fireworks expert who is particularly known for her ridiculously themed houses. Like Orihime Inoue and Rangiku Matsumoto, she has rather large breasts. She wears a prosthetic arm in the anime, which is at odds with her scenes in the manga, where she is illustrated with just a stump. She assists Ichigo and company by launching them via a special cannon so they can enter Sereitei. Kûkaku is part of the former noble clan Shiba. A hollow fused with her brother Kaien, which forced Rukia Kuchiki to kill him. She does not seem to be a shinigami, but she knows high level kidô, and she carries a short-bladed sword on her back.

126. Jeri Katou (Digemon Tamers) At first, Jeri is not very important to the series. She just plays as a school girl Takato has a crush on and won't become a Digimon tamer until later on. It might be said that she is a sort of perfect child, because of her cheerful and happy personality. However, there was a scene when she had claimed she was not interested in digimon, but had cards dropping out of her pocket when she fell. She was known for her dog-shaped sock puppet from her brother, which she uses to strike-up conversations. Where Kazu and Kenta ran away when the existence of Guilmon (Takato's partner Digimon) was proven, Jeri was quick to befriend the strange digital life-form, becoming the first non-Tamer to do so. Jeri is into the DigiBattle Card Game and has some very rare cards in her possession. Takato's friend Rika Nonaka gave her some pointers on what cards to use, and that is how the friendship between the two of them got started. Jeri becomes a Tamer and her partner is Leomon, although when he first appeared, she didn't exactly show that and rather chased him like a madwoman, calling him her Prince and looking almost starstruck at the sight of him. She eventually becomes Leomon's partner before she and the other Tamers (including Kazu and Kenta) headed out into the Digital World in search of Calumon. Jeri proves herself to be a very capable Tamer with potential for greatness (she used the extremely powerful and rare Lady Devimon card on him to destroy the evil digimon Orochimon who had kidnapped her), but unfortunately her career is cut short when Beelzemon destroys Leomon and uploads his data. Following this Jeri becomes withdrawn, believing that her destiny is to be alone. Some time during their return to the real world, Jeri 's cheerful facade is ripped away and through flashbacks and a brief explanation she delivered to Takato, her less-than-cheerful past is revealed. Her biological mother had died a while ago and when Jeri met her stepmother, she didn't give her a chance, so deeply traumatized she was over the death of her real mother. Jeri came to think she was a bad person, because she knew her stepmother was a nice woman, yet she couldn't empathize with her. She also thinks over and over about the words that her father said after her mother's death, which Leomon repeated before dying: "it's all because of Destiny." Jeri showed no sign of caring about what was going on around her and she kept on looking into her now dead D-Arc. The only real reaction came when Takato and Guilmon, now fused into Gallantmon, were about to kill Beelzemon after defeating him; she yelled at them to spare him, and when Beelzemon asked her why, she tearfully said she didn't want anyone else to die. When she disappeared for a moment and then came back, her eyes were different as if she was possessed by something, and she had an evil smile on her face that never went away even after the kids were back to Tokyo. We later discovered that this was not Jeri rather it was the D-Reaper's Agent 1, by discovering its "wings", who assumed Jeri's form to learn all she could about the Tamers. The real Jeri had been taken away and placed in a space within the D-Reaper. The Agent 1 said that Jeri was the perfect being for the D-Reaper as it used her sadness to strengthen itself. Meanwhile, Jeri's puppet was being controlled by the D-reaper and it was trying to convince Jeri that humans don't deserve to live. D-Reaper was able to feed off her negative emotions, but gradually and thanks to Calumon she decided to speak up and reject the idea of real death. She spoke what Leomon had spoke (while he was destined to die, she still had a lot to live for, and so did the others) and was rescued by the other tamers. By the end of the series, Jeri snaps out her depression, thanks to Takato and Calumon, and realizes that humans can make their own destiny and that she was never meant to be alone.

127. Poison Ivy (Batman: The Animated Series) Her first appearance, in Batman: The Animated Series, involved an assassination attempt on Harvey Dent, as retribution for construction over the last habitat of a rare flower. In the earlier days of the Animated series, her meta-human characteristics, such as her immunity to toxins, were stated on many occasions, portraying her as a human with an extreme affinity for plants. She mentions in "House and Garden", in which she ostensibly reforms, that her unique condition has left her unable to bear children. This episode was her final appearance in the first series. Although Poison Ivy's sexuality has never been directly identified, she indicates an attraction to both men and women, including her imfamous relationship with one Harvey Dent.

126. Washu Hakabi Washu Hakubi, the self-proclaimed greatest scientific genius in the universe, is a fictional character in the anime Tenchi Muyo!. Her character differs depending on the continuity, though she sometimes displays a number of innate powers which she rarely uses, preferring to solve problems with reason or technology. In all incarnations, Washu has also shown to be somewhat prudent and is generally trickier to fool than Tenchi or the other girls, which makes it harder for her to fall into an enemy trap. In all three Tenchi series Washu had also created an interdimensional laboratory in the closet of the Masaki house, although her laboratory is a lot bigger in the OVA series than in both of the TV series. The name "Washû" is an ancient one for Japan; specifically, the region around Osaka. Washu's hair is derived from a costume from Noh plays, intended to resemble the (usually black) legs and claws of a crab. For her, it's a red crab, because this is a food specialty of Osaka. As such, the red crab logo appears on much of her merchandise and miscellaneous apparel. Washu has a much larger role in the OVA than in any of the other series. In fact, she is the catalyst of, if not directly involved in, the majority of the conflict of the series. In Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki, she is over 22,000,000,000 years old (both Washu and Ryoko count their ages in Standard Galactic years, which are roughly 2½ Earth years) and is the mother of Ryoko and creator of the Souja and Ryo-Ohki, and is also one of the Chousin goddesses (along with Tsunami and Tokimi). But in order to solve the riddle of creating someone more powerful than the Chousin, Washu-kami-sama chose to seal up her powers and memories in the three gems (which were later given to Ryoko) and became mortal to analyze the mysteries of the universe. These gems have the "same quality and power" as the Juraian trees, and are capable of sustaining the youth of a Juraian such as Yosho. Washu, during her lifetime, also gave birth naturally to a child of her own; the child, whose name is Mikumo Kuramitsu, is actually Mihoshi Kuramitsu's great grandfather. However, because the father came from the prestigious Kuramitsu family, both he and the baby were taken away. Out of grief, Washu chose never to deal with these adult manners again and altered her body to that of a child, although Washu is able to return to her adult form if she wishes to. Washu was locked away by her assistant, Kagato, for 2,000 galactic years until she was freed by Mihoshi. After Kagato's defeat, Washu moved into the Masaki house and has made Tenchi her love and research project, the latter much to Tenchi's chagrin. Aloof yet down to earth, she balances the household and dispels most of the chaos. She had briefly resumed her form as Washu-kami-sama when Z had threatened the universe by battling Tenchi. It must also be noted that in the OVA Ryoko has generally the same powers as Washu, except Washu uses them to a lesser extent. Washu has the same ability to phase shift through solid objects, convert matter directly to energy with no entropic loss (in the form of an energy saber), and she can duplicate herself. One of her favorite tricks, when captured, is to reappear somewhere else, and point to the 'her' that was captured, which is now merely a stuffed doll In Tenchi Universe, Washu was banished from the Royal Science Academy for producing weapons of mass destruction, and she was sent to Earth, imprisoned in the Masaki Shrine for 700 years, until she was freed during a squabble involving Ryoko and Ayeka. Washu was portrayed as an egotistical mad scientist, with two dolls (named A and B) that pop up on her shoulders to proclaim her greatness and to cheer her on ("Washu, you are a genius!", "You can do it, Washu!", etc.). She had at one time constructed Mecha Washu, a robotic duplicate of herself to act as an assistant to her scientific work. She had asked Tenchi to help her out in duplicating her mind into the robot, but Mihoshi had also entered the lab, and somehow left a single strand of her hair into the transfer apparatus. As a result, instead of Washu's mind in Mecha Washu, the robot got not only Mihoshi's mind, but also her personality. After Mecha Washu got out of control as a result, it took Kiyone's knowledge of Mihoshi's habits to wrangle the robot to watch Mihoshi's favorite show... Moldiver, where it was shut down safely. Washu, near the end of the series, talked with Tenchi, who was depressed as his grandfather was easily defeated by Kagato. Washu was able to convince him that he could wield a greater force of Jurai power than his grandfather, and then helped disable a portion of the Jurai fleet in the final battle with her supercomputer virus. At the end of the series, Washu was the elected honorary president of the Universal Science Academy (USA), promising to only use her powers for peace. She was kicked out a month later for developing a weapon capable of destroying the entire universe. Washu eventually returned to Earth. In Tenchi in Tokyo, Washu was a renegade scientist who had helped Ryoko steal the Jurai Light Stone, an artifact of the planet, and was pursued by the Juraian forces (led by Ayeka) and the Galaxy Police (led by Mihoshi and Kiyone). During the chase, Washu sensed an unusual energy source emitting from Earth, and after they were forced to crash-land on Earth, Washu sensed that the power came from Tenchi's necklace (an heirloom handed down from his late mother, Achika Masaki). Throughout the series, while researching his necklace, Washu invented various items that would allow the girls to see Tenchi during his time in Tokyo (notably, a dimensional portal); however, her inventions would often malfunction. Personality-wise, she's still a mad scientist, but she is more mellowed-out than her Tenchi Universe incarnation. When Yugi's plot had scattered the Masaki family, Washu was the only one not fooled by it, and after analyzing Yugi from her previous attack against the Masaki shrine, Washu found out she came from Jurai. With some help from Ayeka, Washu discovered the ruins to which Ayeka had been previously with Tenchi were actually a prison meant to hold Yugi, as she had been imprisoned for nearly destroying Jurai 3,500 years ago. Washu later sent an analysis robot to analyze Sakuya Kumashiro, as she suspected that Sakuya might be some factor in Yugi's plan, which proved to be true when the scan showed that Sakuya was a shadow of Yugi. With her Gem Analysis complete, Washu went with Katsuhito to Tokyo, and she explained everything to Tenchi about Yugi and why she worked so hard to break them up. After that, Washu observed the final battle against Yugi, when she was transported to Yugi's dimension and at the end of the series went to work on a new Dimensional Tunnel by using the power of the gems.

I've never even heard of most of these characters since I'm old and not into anime to the degree that some around here are. ::)Thought for sure Poison Ivy would be in the top 100. BTW, "Object of Lotor's affections" has got to be Princess Allura from Voltron. (The good one with the lions)
