I know you ladies will be able to relate, but my question is to the guys that work in public like I do, do you get terms of endearment thrown at you by random customers/shoppers et al? Cuz, there's not a day goes by, not a day where at least a woman or too is throwin this at me while I'm working. And it's the full age range too, young, old, doesn't matter, sometime during the day I'm getting called something other than sir or Kevin or what have ya. Surely someone shares this experience.

I have this really affectionate friend who I'm not into (and I believe it's mutual), and she's always calling me "sweetie" and "honey".
And she touches people a lot. Like, a lot.

Honey. Hon. Sweetie. Cutie. I get them. Not like I used to though, since I don't go out into the world like I used to, but I still get them.
It's interesting, but if there's any physical contact while they're saying it... well, just make sure she's hot.

I get called baby or man or dude. I have a bad habit of being raised in the south, so sometimes I call women "hon". I'm not hittin on them, just something I say.

But sometimes you get a girl from the north that gets offended.

No lie. She may be embarrassed to tell you that, especially if she knows you aren't interested. Be a man, take one for the team and give her the lil joker. It's cool, I can wait. edit* fixed.

I like Northern Girls... but Southern Belles, they are TOTALLY hospitable, and make you feel wanted.
And it's not even them being interested in you, it's all about common courtesy.
A smile goes a long way, and the south knows how to do that.

Now my post about the quote makes no sense! I would be angry if any of my posts ever made sense. But as is, it's status quo.
