Here's the thing: Nick GAS- Has stopped showing about 70-80% of the shows they do have (such as Finders Keepers, every Double Dare incarnation except for DD2K (which is not even a quarter as good as the original), Think Fast, Wild and Crazy Kids, and the list continues from there). As for the game shows that are somehow still alive, Nick always shows the same episodes 3-4 times a day, except for Nick Arcade (which only shows from 5-6 a.m.). So, heavy rerun abuse + cutting most of the good shows = A channel that is a shell of its former self. The channel needs to be freshened up or just cut, since Nick hasn't shown a single new game show since that failed attempt to relaunch Wild and Crazy Kids a few years back. Nicktoons Network- No real complaints, except for maybe a slight retossing of the shows on there. Otherwise, the channel should stay, since Nick is staying with those type of shows. The other channels I don't care much about, except for G4, and I'm fine with it when they show certain shows (Ninja Warrior mainly). Yea But My Problem with Nick toons is it stopped showing most of the 1990's stuff Somewhat true, Piper. I just checked through the guide to see what is on Nicktoons Network, and they only show the '90s cartoons from the 2-6 a.m. time slots, and some in the morning time slots. Otherwise, they don't show it.

"Turner Classic Movies shows 30 minute blocks of cartoons regularly."
Those old Cartoons were shown cinimatically, some of which won Academy Awards, so they fit in.

Spike TV, the "first network for men".
So, Star Trek is just for men now? Could've fooled me, since it was one of the first TV shows in history to feature women in powerful roles.

In defense of the History Channel, most of their programming, I'd say almost 99% worth, is history related. Ice Road Truckers seems to be the only show on the network that doesn't have some sort of histy behind it. Meh most of there is history is Biblical stuff, WW2-Now and Apcoluptic junk. what about Rome, what about 500-1900 where are those years? They've done rome quite a few times. Currently it's not all over the place, but when they feel like they do it. That goes for ancient greece, egypt, and ancient americas aswell. Subject matter seems to change during the year.

I think Spike dropped that a few years ago. Its new tagline is "Get More Action." I heard somewhere that despite being promoted as a men's channel, the audience is primarily women. Heh, go figure.

I think the big thing Nick GAS and the Toon channel needs to realize is this: Whether they want to admit it or not, a large amount of their audience are very late teens to mid 20s men and women who just want to enjoy a few cartoons once and awhile. From what I see, all they seem to show are the same damn cartoons you see on Nickelodeon. Where the hell are shows like AHHH! Real Monsters, KaBlam! Doug, even the Angry Beavers aren't on there anymore. If they brought back those shows, gave the 90s cartoons more prominent time slots, and just changed the whole network up, I thnk the ratings would come.
Nick GAS is a lost cause, if you ask me. They've removed all the fun shows and just play the same few over and over. Someone even mentoned that Nick Arcade gets like two broadcasts a day. It just shows a lack of faith in the programming, if you ask me. Maybe they feel it's almost TOO dated now, but I agree. I want Wild and Crazy Kids, I want the original Double Dare..I want to relive the past, not be constantly reminded of the present and future.
If I was in charge at NICK, TVLand would be renamed Nick at Nite, get all of the old Nick at Nite programming off Nick, and put it on TV Land, and then use some of that spare time at night to show some of the older Nickelodeon shows like the original Are you Afraid of the Dark, etc. Hell, I want SNICK back.

It's your right to think it's a load of crap on the network. Looking at the letters and aliking it to the programing will make it fit the name. However, being non-biased, what the letters stand for do not fit the actual programing because none of the shows take place in Columbia (except maybe an episode of THE UNIT which might have).

That being said, yeah, I guess keep the TV Land name the same.

CBS was established in the 1930s by Columbia Records, as a radio station.
Bravo. VH1 for Rich Gay People. Which is still better than "A&E, without the E."
Yeah, cable channels are somewhat messed up right now.
