Talk about your California Dreams memories here. I myself, didn't like Matt, but I loved his sister. Was sad to see her move away.

The top picture looks more like them, goofy surfer types. I don't remember them as 90210 drama stuff, lol. Kelly packard's first show (that i know of), and I liked how the tough leather jacket guy always sang this high voiced ballads.

Sly Winkle. Man, that guy got on my nerves. The Matt family moved away, and they got replaced with the people in the bottom picture. I think the leather jacket guy was Jake Sommers. Also, American Gladiator Nitro guest starred on a later episode. That ruled.

I'm not mad about it, I just don't understand how people don't love this show as much as I do. In real life I would understand, but this forum has people who like everything.

I remember an episode where he came up with some big hit song, and his idol stole it for his comeback Nikki cox was on one episode too, dating sly in it, except she was blind. On her baywatch episode, she was homeless. She got all the good parts, lol.

And then she went on to Baywatch... and it was just weird. She didn't look like she fit in.

Kelly started on baywatch the same season as carmen electra and hormone-crazed older teen hobie, so they focused on them more, with carmen stripping all the time and hitting on cody (the blond guy that stephanie wanted to "coach"/olympic swimmer). She seemed to girl next door-ish for that show, and actually followed the rules of the place/job on there (storyline wise), than cause trouble. Was the mexican girl in the band? I forgot. I know jake played the guitar, the black guy played the drums, white guy on the right played the keyboard, kelly played the bass I think, and I think the asian girl played the tamberine and sang?

Lorena (the Latina) was supposed to be their manager.
Really though, she just let them practice in her parents guest house.

I thought sly was the smarmy manager? I think Lorena and him hooked up. Actually, all I know is that Lorena wasn't part of the band. If she wasn't co-manager, then she was just a groupie.

ah, that might be it then. I just didn't remember her doing the "trick the guy who owns the place into letting you play there" routine like sly did. I haven't seen the show in years, so this is all from memory. I remember they played at the local kids hangout place, and they rehearsed in the empty guest house.

Sly was the manager. Lorena just let them practice in her parents house when Matt moved away. Usually Matt's garage was where they practiced.
The show went downhill after Matt left, IMO. It was bad enough when his "sister" left, but Matt leaving officially pulled the plug, IMO.

I didn't like Matt, so him leaving was okay by me.
However, his sister was a thing of beauty.
